I have a £16,000 loan with HSBC and corresponding monthly PPI cover. I have claimed on the insurance once when I had an injury and couldn't work for a month (they paid out for one month). For the last few years I have also been self employed. I am going to cancel the insurance anyway but just checking before I do, can I claim a refund even though I made a claim on the insurance? Bit cheeky, I know, but I don't want to miss out on a chance to get my money back.

Hi everyone I submitted my LBA 2 weeks ago - deadline tomorrow. But then only yesterday I got wacked with £150 worth of charges for January which has taken me completely over my overdraft again. I now need to start the court claim process but was wondering is there any way to include the new charges in the claim? The £150 has REALLY ticked me off especially as it was for £4 - £10 direct debits! Thanks in advance.

Hi from a newbie I've just put together my schedule of charges and was about to send it off when I suddenly got worried. My husband and I are applying for our first mortgage (self cert) and have had real problems finding one that will give us one (due to defaults). I don't want to risk the final mortgage application - does anyone know if it will be at all affected? Should I wait until it's all finalised? I'd rather wait but we really do need the money at the moment
