  1. I'm so glad to come accross this thread because I am also going to start another claim. I'm on a low income and found myself in the cycle all over gain and felt really depressed two days ago when I realised that I would be charged yet again at the end of the month. I spoke to them on the phone and they send under no circumstances would they refund me or stop the charge. Like you, they said I should manage my account better....They are so heartless! Did you sign anything when you were given back the charges? The guy on the phone hinted that I had agreed to the charges and would not take them to court. I will have to look at the documents and see what I signed.
  2. Thanks for the kind replys everyone. I will certainly do that fendyweather and will keep you informed of the outcome! I feel much better after reading your replies. Thanks once again!!
  3. Hi I'm soo depressed. Natwest recently refunded my charges. Unfortunately, I have found myself in a spiral again. I really try to keep my account in order but one little mistake and the charges have begun all over again. I receive just £117 in child benefits. I am going to be charged again at the end of the month and I do not have the money to cover that! I spoke to an advisor who told me that since I have already been refunded they will not refund me again. I feel desperate as thats the only money I receive and cannot afford to keep paying these hefty charges!
  4. I have been following your thread with interest and I'm very happy for you. Time to put in my claim now. CONGRATULATIONS
  5. hulloooo everyone Am new to this forum and very excited to have found all this information online. i hope its okay to start my first post with a question. i'm with NatWest and over the last two months i've not been able to use any of my child benefit, thanks to bank charges. At the moment, my account is overdrawn (unauthorised overdraft) - again due to bank charges. The minute my child benefit goes in, its eaten by the bank charges. Am in vicious circle. i did go to the branch to speak to them but had no joy. I'm a stay at home mum and its the only income i have! Anyways here is my question, should i just transfer my child benefit to another account or should i ask Natwest (I've seen the template in one of the threads) to stop using this money to pay off charges as i need it. Will they do this seeing that i am sending the first letter asking for my statements with the intention of getting back all ;-) my bank charges? My next payment will be in about two weeks. Thanks in advance for your replies
