  1. I couldn't find any info on the new strategy for AQ's so I sent off my AQ today, filled out as per the template in the library. Now a case of hurry up and wait!!
  2. Allocation Questionaire was received today which I have now filled out as per the guide in the library. My case has now been transferred to the Medway court. I will get the AQ sent off and await a court date. Time ticks slowly by but we will get there in the end.
  3. Hi Peter, That link doesn't seem to work. I will have a look around the site. Thanks
  4. I would send the letter before action, but add a paragraph rejecting the settlement offer (basically take the relevant parts of the rejection letter and add to the LBA) Hope this is clearer. Simmo
  5. Hi there, Send rejection of settlement letter, found here: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=39&Itemid=36 Once your deadline has lapsed then file with MCOL Simmo
  6. Hi Linda, Patience is the key when dealing with Barclays, although they are usually pretty quick getting the statements back. Peter, Thanks, I will take a look.
  7. Barclays have decided to defend the claim and did so at the last minute - surprise, surprise!! I am now awaiting allocation questionaire and transfer to a local court. I will keep you all informed as events transpire.
  8. A couple of days remaining and I haven't received anything from Barclays yet. I would have thought that i'd have received their standard defence by now but I guess that is after they inform MCOL that they intend to defend! I remember reading somewhere that it can slow up the proceedings if I try to apply judgement via MCOL, if Barclays do not respond by the deadline. Is this so? and, if so, why? Any help/advise is appreciated.
  9. If you are having to pay for a Debt Management Plan then leave it straight away. Also, an IVA is not a good thing but a last resort. There are many places to get a DMP and I used CCCS. They are a charity. They take the payment from you on 1st of each month and pay your creditors on 25th of each month. They fund the charity by the interest earned between the 1st and 25th of each month, plus Government subsidies. You only pay what you can afford. If anyone else is reading this, and is paying for a DMP or considering an IVA then go to CCCS - Regards Simmo
  10. MCOL is fairly user friendly. It is a case of playing the waiting game once you have filed.
  11. Stick with your deadline. Have you sent the rejection of settlement letter yet? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=39&Itemid=36 Simmo
  12. If Barclays haven't replied by the end of your deadline then start proceedings through MCOL. Ask here if you need help with the next steps. Simmo
  13. Stick with it. Before long you will be out of the weeds!
  14. I think you'll find that this is just to indicate the status of you ID with the CAG. The more posts (or reputations) you receive dictates what is displayed under your User ID.
  15. Freepost RLTA-CSUE-TCHC Barclay Bank PLC Head Office Customer Relations 1 Churchill Place London E14 5HP It is Freepost so will save some money as well!!
  16. Barclays acknowledged my claim on 03 Jan 07 so now I have to wait for them to submit ther defence, which is required by 21 Jan 07. I am starting to get bored with their pantomime of pretending to defend their charges when we all know they are unjust and therefore indefensible. I have been up for this fight from the start and would love to get them in the courtroom.
  17. Keep to your own timescale. They haven't responded positively so submit the claim on the day it is due.
  18. Have a look at the website. You can start by filling out a questionaire and it will recommend which steps you need to take. It is fairly easy to navigate.
  19. Hi Canelle, I was bogged down with debts a few years ago and was advised to talk to the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS). They are a charity who help people with their debts. They deal with your creditors and negotiate reduced payments, get the interest frozen etc. Take a look at their website and if you think they will be useful then give them a call. A counsellor will then go through your debts and if eligible they will manage them for you. You just then make a monthly payment that you can afford. My debts were over a £1000 but my monthly payment was £250. All the money you pay goes to your creditors. Their website is CCCS - Good luck Simmo
  20. Hi, Scroll down to the bottom of the page of the link and there is a N150 after the N149
  21. Hi there, Follow this link: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk:80/forum/bank-templates-library/11644-allocation-questionnaires-guide-completion.html Regards Simmo
  22. The defence looks like the standard one that Barclays use. You can find out information on the AQ from here: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/11644-allocation-questionnaires-guide-completion.html Scroll down and there are notes on what to put on the form
  23. CCCS covers the whole of the United Kingdom. Their website is extremely informative so take a look and it will tell you what the deal is.
  24. I have been with the CCCS for a while now and they really helped out. They got all the interest frozen and negotiated reduced monthly payments over a peroiod of time. You can take a look at: CCCS -
