  1. Hello Can anyone advise what the latest regarding these types of claims are please? I was claiming for a friend but her claim was 'stayed' at court and she hasnt heard anything since - should we accept this is the end or is there anything we can do to reclaim these charges? Thanks! Cx
  2. Hiya. Thanks for the reply. As my payday is only next week and I wont have time to set up a new account / change where my wages are paid etc, do you think I should pay the interest only this month and extend the loans and default next month or should I report card as lost and hope for the best?! C
  3. If you go up to the top of the page and click on 'pay day loans', it will take you back to the main payday loan pages then at the top (left i think), click on 'start new thread' C x
  4. Hello I have 3 active payday loans that I am struggling to repay and I would like some advice as to how is best to try and pay them back. I have worked out that I only have about £60-£80 spare each month to use to pay them back and dont know how to split it between them. I have seen some comments saying about prorata payments and others (which I think I prefer) which is paying a lump sum to one and then smaller to others and then increasing as one is paid off but I dont know how / where to start.. Also, am I going to tell my bank I have lost my card and keep an eye on any DD's being set up but is this likely to be enough? I really dont want to have to get a new account as I would have to change mine and boyf wages, tax credits, child benefit and all DD's!! Here are the active loan amounts: Txtloan - £117 (£100 loan + £17 interest) Payday express - £200 (£160 loan and £40 interest) Cash Genie - £229 (I think £179 loan and £50 interest) I also have a QQ loan which is now with Motormile Finance for approx £600 (they sent a debt collector today but I agreed to nothing and said I would email) & one for Wonga which I cant remember any of the details of! (I havent paid either of these for months) Any help REALLY gratefully received C
  5. Hello You need to start your own thread so that people will see it and can comment for you. Everyone is really helpful so definitely worth doing C
  6. Hiya. I have just realised I never updated this thread with the outcome... I sent a DD form to HFC for the standard monthly payment & they took the payment on the first month and when that cleared, they wrote saying that the DCA had been cancelled and that they would add the arrears onto the end of the loan and that that part would be liable for interest - I actually think thats very fair and we have therefore kept up our monthly DD payments and all is well I thought i would update in case anyone is ever in a similar position and looking for previous stories. C
  7. Hello I have three payday loans that are active at the moment (Txtloan - £117, payday express - £200 & Cash Genie - £229.. these figures are the loans and one months interest). Trying to pay these back is proving difficult and I am thinking of changing my card details (not bank account number as thats too much hassle) and emailing the companies offering £60pm between them which would clear them in around 9 months. My problems are: 1: How do I stop them adding more interest (or are they allowed to) 2: Will this have an effect on my credit rating as its just starting to get better and I dont want to do anything to ruin it again. Any advise gratefully received. Thanks PS. I do also have loans with Wonga and QuickQuid but these are old and I have no details of amounts at the mo - I havent paid them for months
  8. my Dad has made the council aware as we are hoping to stay here at least a year to save some well needed money!
  9. I keep being told to pay the council direct but the council told me I have to pay R&R and that if I dont, I will be liable for all the charges.. I think if I took all the charges off from R&R, I would only owe about £200 (the charges are around £800!)
  10. Hello Apologies, my internet went down before I could reply again re breakdown of charges. I have received a breakdown of charges from R&R as the CEO of the council was involved and they obviously had to follow this up. Hallowitch was helping me and has got me this far which is amazing but I think the next step was going to be writing to R&R regarding their fees / levying etc. We have just moved house so I would have to dig the documents out of a box (which I will do asap) but should I make R&R aware of this fact and apologise for paying late? I dont want them knocking the door where we are now as its my Dads house (we are staying with him to save money), & he will go mad if baliffs start coming round! Thanks C
  11. Hi all. I have a wp / levy tho I believe from help on this site that they have incorrectly levied as they've used the same items More than once and, also charged me twice for some things on the same visit. I had all the charges etc sent to me and hallowitch helped me write a letter to the council but they came back saying they wouldn't take the account back and that the fees are outlined etc etc .. I have therefore had to go back to paying R&r but know there will be hell to pay as I forgot! I am not sure how to include the link to my thread with all the previous details.. Thanks
  12. Hello I pay R&R £50 pm on 24th but this month due to moving house and being away for a couple of days, I completely forgot to pay R&R until just a second ago! I have just paid but I know this means the baliff will turn up (thou we have moved today so they will go to the wrong house!). What should I do? I paid a day late by accident before a couple of months ago and they sent baliff round, I fought with the council to take back the debt but they wouldnt and they agreed to reinstate my payment plan of £50pm as long as I never paid late again.... I am sooo livid with myself as this is exactly why R&R dont let you set payments up by standing order. Any advise welcome. Thanks! C
  13. Hiya The agreement was pay nothing for 1st year then pay £50pm for 3 years. We have missed 3 payments I think judging by the amount they're asking for. We prob have a year left on the agreement but they've sent it to dca as we've fallen behind
  14. Hello I am after some help if possible please. My dad got my partner and I a sofa from DFS on their 4 years interest free credit which we have been paying £50pm for. Unfortunately, due to a drop in salary / tax credits etc and the fact that I am completely rubbish, we fell behind with payments and when I offered to set up the £50 by direct debit and pay the outstanding payments (£150 I think) at £10pw, they said this wasnt enough. I couldnt do anything else as this is all we can afford (and even that will be a struggle at the moment). My dad has received a letter today from Debt litigation recovery services demanding the whole £1,010 and I have to phone them. My question is... is there anyway I can get HFC to keep the account and deal with them rather than the debt collector or is it too late now? I cant afford any more charges to be added and I have completely screwed my dads credit rating much to his annoyance. Thanks for reading x
  15. Hiya. I emailed the complaint on 19th May, had email from PA to ceo on 20th May and then an email from debt recovery team lead on 31st May where she said she will be investigating while R&R are put on hold. She states she will write again after she has carried out investigations. Cheers. C x
  16. Thats not good.. will be too scared to have my windows open or play in the garden with my son again (they can get into my garden without me opening any gate / door etc!). I am not surprised they never turned up today, the bloke was actually quite nice until I refused to pay £125 and I said I am asking the council to take the debt back.. He also didnt like it when I said I would call the police if he tried to get in (to which he said he would call them on my behalf and I said 'yes please, thanks!'.
  17. How rude.. its now 4pm and no sign! I had done all my research and my partner and I were geared up for a fight - now all for nothing! I am going to email the council again advising of r&R scare tactics and asking again that the debt is taken back. I phoned them earlier to check whether they had sanctioned the removal of goods and as you predicted - they hadn't! Do you think I should also email R&R chasing my request for info?
  18. The old TV was a flat screen Samsumg and we now have a flat screen Sony as the other one just gave up as it was quite old - we took it to the tip i think. We got £800 trade in for the Mondeo to get the Astra we now have on HP. I have emailed the below to R&R on 4th April but only had a reply saying that because they have a few accounts for me, it would take a while for them to get back to me! With reference to the above account, Can you please provide me with a breakdown of the charges and the current outstanding balance. This includes: a - the time & date of any Bailiff action that incurred a Fee. b - the reason for the fee. c - the name(s) of the Bailiff(s) that attended on each occasion a Fee was charged. d - the name(s) of the Court(s) the Bailiff(s) was/were at. e - the date of the Certification. This is not a request under the Data Protection Act S7 1998 so does not incur a fee of £10. You are obliged to provide this information. I require this information within 14 days. Yours faithfully
  19. I need to go out at some point - will my house be safe?! I will lock the doors and windows just in case
  20. I have three walking possession order forms that i have found - two for one reference number dated 23/11/09 and 15/07/09 and the other for another reference number dated 23/12/09.. The last one has a couple of different items on it: My laptop (that I am on now!) My partners xbox 360 Our sofas (which are my dads) the TV (gone) The car (also gone) Are they still entitled to come in ad remove the good listed?
  21. I have signed a walking possession in the past but I dont have a copy of it and cant remember when it was (over a year though I think).... Not very helpful I know and Im kicking myself for not having it. I know on the list was : the car (which has gone as it broke down so we traded it for one on hp) our sofas - which are actually on finance in my dads name (so are technically his) the tv (which broke and has also gone)
