  1. :) Thank You eveyone for all your help and advice its great to have you all out there in the same boat. Well I claimed for 2 accounts my partners and my own.My partner claimed £1217 they offered £1050 which we accepted as so close to xmas and we thought it was a good offer if it was not xmas i would have gone for the lot and we were going to make sure I got all of my charges refunded. We didnt need to worry as FD wrote to me offering all my £395 and they noted I had incurred a £30 charge last week and they have refunded that as well so I have £425.what is funny is that i called them re these charges and they reduced this fee to £15!!! My partners money was put in to his account today and mine will be in my account by friday!! I will be donating to this site as a Thank you for all the help!! Both refunds were offered after the 1st letter and came 2days outside of the 14 days time limit but i hadnt sent the LBA. Good luck everyone I cant belive it was so easy!! The other thing is I now have my dad, work mate and 2 lots of friends starting out with this and i feel like im answering the same questions 4 times !!!I dont mind it will have a great satisfaction when they all get there money!! Good luck again to everyone!! :)
  2. Hi Have been offererd £1050 of the £1237.50 and would like to accept this as part payment and then continue to claim the rest £187 but i cant find the template letter for this can anyone help???Thanks dani:)
  3. Thank you can i accept this amount 1st but say i will claim the rest??This offer was given before i sent the LBA.
  4. Hi everyone had a reponse from fd today offering £1050 of the £1237 I asked for. This leaves £187 outstanding do you think I should take the offer and not ask for the £187 or still accept as part payment and go for the £187???would feel better just taking the £1050 than worrying about going to court??!!What do you think Dani:confused:

  10. Thank you !! reading your threads has helped a lot.I have read lots and lots accross this site ,it was just the woman on the phone sounded so clear that what they were charging was the most ok/normal thing in the world.Ive sent a letter to fist direct on my partners account yesterday asking for £1600 still waiting for my statements .Fingers crossed!!:confused:I think I may have jumped the gun tho as the letter I sent was £1300 charges and £300 interest can i not claim interest until i go to court? If this is wrong i sure they will but me right???
  11. Hi in the process of claiming my charges from first direct on 2 accounts. My account im still waiting for my statements, but 2day they sent me a summary of cheque account charges and interest, this normally comes with my statements!!Anyway they have charged me £30 for going overdrawn £18 for less than 24hours.So I asked for these charges not to be appiled to my account as they are unlawfull and excssive.they came back to me and said it wasnt their fault the account had gone over and as part of the terms and cons there will be a £30 charge, but as a gesture of goodwill they will only charge me £15.What a cheek!!!Anyway i did say that i wanted a full refund but she wouldnt budge so i had to except the £15.im now feeling a little nervous that they will say the same to the rest when i ask for the last 6 years ????I will request the £15 when i send the letter.Has anyone got any advise felling Very nerous.
  12. Have read lots of info around site and am about to start the process of claiming .I am also very new to the forum/thread stuff hope im getting it right and hope i can work all this out!!! Im just about to send my very 1st letter to the bank asking for the complete list of transactions and charges relating to my bank history.Do I need to put in the letter the last 6 years as that is all I can claim for or when they reply only use the last 6 years.Am I going to get my whole lifes bank history on my doormat???
