  1. thanks, god i hope there not still wacking interest on the £6000. Ive rang Gmac today ive got to put my request in writting as theyve filed everything in the archives mmmm!!!!!
  2. Hi guys Ive spent weeks gathering advice & info from the forums but ive read that much now im confusing myself. Ive submitted my 1st letter 2 A&L reference my charges only to recieve the same response as everyone else so i submitted my 2nd letter as everyone else to recieve my response this morning. Still sticking to there guns & stating the office of fair trading report on April 6th only touches briefly on current accounts & did not give any specific recommendation regarding the level of charges for current accounts,we feel are charges are reasonable & regret to inform you our original decision concerning the charges must stand. Is this a standard letter that others have recieved? What do i do now ? Thanks :?
  3. Hi,the statements i have date dec 04 & sept 05 and looking at these they dont add up as dec 04 states £10569 in interest, expenses £590,charges £350, solicitors £2441 & erc £8230.Total 2 repay £174,246 sept 05 states £7832 in interest,£0 in charges, £0 in expenses, solicitors £2181,erc £7112.Total 2 repay £187,720. These are confusing although the figure to repay is higher on sept statement y are all the other figures for dec lower ?? what do you think??, should i request a new statement although ive not heard from them in years????
  4. Hi gizmo The settlement statement i have dates back to sept 2005 should i request a new 1?? charges .... building & contents insurance £140 (which is funny as there where no contents in the property ). Interest 1/4/04-3/12/04 £10569 interest 1/04/05-9/09/05 £7832 deeds fee £40 solicitors £2441 repayment admin fee £115 early repayment charge £8230 & daily interest charge of £49.95. additional notes : if amounts are not repaid the account will continue to operate as "live"& accrue interest. I hope as they claimed i owed them £6000 in 2005 as this hasnt been paid that thats not accruing interest
  5. according to gmac they claim the property took this long to sell due to 27 other propertys for sale on the estate mmmm !!!! so where do i start with recovering these costs
  6. in 2003 i had a mortgage with gmac due to the £1200 a mth repayments i very quickly slipped into arrears after mths of seeking a remortgage to no avail the "repossession order " letters arrived as payments where not met i was asked to vacate the property by aug 2004 which i did & went into rented accommadation,After 12mths with no contact from gmac i rang them where they told me the property had been sold & was due for completion that month therefore i requested a final statement on my account to prepare for any debt coming my way. I purchased the property for £170,000 borrowed £145,745 they sold it for £189,950 leaving £44205 & i owed them £6000 so id been charged a total of £50205 To my horror i discovered they'd been charging me a wapping £49.95 a day in interest from the day of possession to the day of sale a total of 13mths . Among that there was another £10569 in interest,£8230 early redemption charge,£2441 solicitors,£600 expenses & the charges go on. Since recieving that statement in sept 2005 i still to this day have not recieved any contact from gmac. I know this will come back on me but are these charges exceptable? Can they charge me £49.95 a day for 13mths in interest on a property they took possession on??? any advice / help regarding these charges would be greatly recieved as i dont know where to go for help with this
  7. I had a mortgage with gmac back in 2003, due to the £1200 a mth repayment i very quickly fell into arrears after several mths of not paying & trying to remortgage to no avail they started repossession proceedings.I was then told i had to vacate the property by Aug 2004 which i did & went into rented accomadation, after 12mths id heard nothing from gmac so i phoned to find out the situation which is when i was informed the house had finally been sold & was due for completition that month so i asked for a full breakdown on the account so i could see what debt if any was coming my way. I purchased the property for £170,000 borrowing £145,745 they sold the property for £189,950 and they where telling me i owed them £6,000. According to there resettlement statement dated sept 2005 id been charged £49.95 a day in interest from the date of possession to date of sale.... It took 13mths for them to sell the property!!!! also £7112 early repayment charge,£2180 for solicitors & the charges go on in fact topping a wapping £42,911 in charges . I have not heard anything from gmac since sept 2005 but i know somewhere down the line this is going to come back on me, are these charges exceptable? can they charge me £49.95 a day on a property theyve asked me to vacate & took them 13mths to sell??? Anyones help or advice would be greatly recieved

  10. Approximatley 6 yrs ago i took a secured loan out for £15,000 with black horse finance, repayments on the account where made every month up until 2002 when i fell into financial difficulty, my home ended up being repossessed & i kept black horse in the loop all through. After 18mths the property finally got sold on leaving me with a huge debt from the mortgage lender all being interest charges, i informed black horse of the situation as there was no monies to pay there debt on the property, whom adviced me to get in touch with the office of fair trading to dispute the charges.... this was never done as the mortgage lender never came after me for the debt & i never heard from black horse again. In 2005 i moved and informed all including black horse & the mortgage lender of my new contact details . Its now nov 2006 & i hadn't heard from either until yesterday i recieved a letter from " Lewis debit recovery" telling me that black horse had sold my debt to CL Finance & they where working on there behalf to recover the debt of £ 27,025 whish had to be paid in FULL by the end of nov.Can anyone please advice me where i stand with this as it seems this again is all interest & the fact nobody has made contact with me for years to recover any of the original loan although black horse was aware of the situation & had all my contact details.Ive also recieved a copy of my credit file which interestingly states the debt of £27,025 from black horse & a & £6,000 debt from the mortgage lender but again i wasn't aware of these figures as nobody has tried to recover them with me.I really dont know where to seek advice !!!!!!!!
  11. hi robbie1 ive just submitted my 1st letter to A&L for £1100 in charges my main concern in doing this was because id read so many storys where people where getting there money back but there banks then gave them 30 days notice of closing there accounts, i dont have the best credit rating & fear if this is the case i might struggle to get another bank account was this the case with A&L ??
