  1. According to Companies House, there is no such company as Flyboat Limited.
  2. Company been in existence since 1996. This is a quote from their accounts " This company is currently dormant"!! They are owned by a company called Flyboat Limited. Will look into this further
  3. Hi and welcome. Firstly, have a good read on this site, especially in the Debt Action Group part. There you will see many mentions of a CCA letter. Basically this letter 'forces' the debt collection agency to prove that they are entitled to come after you for money. Its in the 'stickies' at the start of the Debt forum, letter N. Here is the link. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general-debt/20758-creditors-dcas-letter-templates.html Send this letter to BCW and enclose a £1 postal order or cheque. There are timescales within which they must comply. So send this letter, read as much as you can and don't let the buggers get you down! Good luck Spotnot
  4. No, my oil comes from restaurants, but SVO (straight vegetable oil) can be used just as easily. Remember Diesel engines were first designed to run on Peanut oil!!
  5. Sorry, need to disagree with this. The places that supply me the oil don't sell it, they give it away. Secondly its not sold as fuel, cos certain additives are added to make it run cleaner. I have done this for many, many years. More years than I care to mention. I have researched this many times. There is a program on BBC2 (How to live more green, or something similar), bloke has big moustache. Anyway, they showed you how to convert the oil into fuel. Surely, if it was illegal, then the BBC would be in serious trouble. If anyone is interested in this, have a look at this website RUN a DIESEL CAR on VEGETABLE OIL It isn't illegal to use vegetable oil as an alternative fuel source. Never has and never will be. Oh and apologies, its now 28.35p per litre in fuel tax. The only illegal bit is not paying the duty, which I always do.
  6. My twins are both child models, but we were approached by the agency while walking through town. However, we checked them out thoroughly first and they took no money from us at all. They take a commission from any work they do. No reputable agency would take this amount of money from you. If you are still intent in getting your son into modellig, pm me and I'll see what I can do to help. Spot
  7. If you own a diesel car, it can easily be converted to run off vegetble oil. It gives out no nasty emissions and is free: get hotels, restaurants etc to give you their used oil. It may take a little more effort than standing at a fuel pump, but it is so worth it financially and environmentally. Technically, you still need to pay fuel duty on it, but @ 27.5p per litre is still much cheaper. Those hippy roots of mine are once more resurfacing! Spotnot
  8. Report them to Trading Standards. The Glasgow office is compiling a nice little dossier of complaints about AIC. Why not add to it?? Spotnot
  9. Have you had any more calls from them? As they have only just received your letter, the message may not have been received by the monkeys yet that your number is to be removed from the system. That, however, is no excuse. Print off the Harassment by telephone letter, have it handy by the phone and if they call you, just start reading it to them. It truly annoys them and it will get them off your back. Also make it clear that you will take further action, involving the police and ask for their full name as that will be needed when you make your complaint to the police. This should get the message accross. Also, they never produce a response to the CCA letter and after the deadlines have passed, usually all communication stops. Hope this helps and if you need any further help, just ask. Sponot
  10. Well, I've had a quick look. I cannot find any mention of Revenue Collection services. However, this may just be an off shoot of Belmont Finance. All is not rosy with Belmont finance. One director has left the company, sold his shares and no longer has anything to do with the company and it looks like the company has been running at a loss for many years. This however does not help you much, so I'll carry on digging!!
  11. Only if they are limited companies. Businesses do not need to file accounts with Companies House. I'll look into this further for you.
  12. Also, if they are phoning you, you can stop this happening as well. There is a template letter to send them. Its the telephone harrassment letter. Here is the link http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/37006-harassment-telephone-response-letter.html If they do not stop calling you, you can report them to the police. But in the meantime send the two letters suggested, sit back, read as much as you can and start claiming back the charges. Spot
  13. Allied are a bunch of bullying cowboys. Search this site for other threads about them and you'll soon see what they are like. Have a read, then send them the CCA letter as previously advised. This will stall them cos I'd bet that they don't have the original agreement. No agreement= no right to chase your father for the debt. And never phone them, they are little more than dial-a-monkey!! And also as previously suggested, start claiming back all the unlawful charges imposed by the credit card companies. Good luck and just ask if you need any more help. Spot
  14. RBS have offered to repay my Dad's charges in full after the prelim letter. However, we are claiming contractual interest so have refused their offer. Filling in small claims N1 tonight.
  15. If it is registered as a company, separate from Bank of scotland then it must comply with Companies Act. Just because it is 100% owned by another company, changes nothing. Mean Ugly Gorillas Ltd can trade under the name Pink Fluffy Bunny Slippers if they want, but not Pink Fluffy Bunny Slippers LTD.. This LTD makes all the difference
  16. In their last filed accounts, Blair Oliver and Scott reported no profit/ no loss and had no trading activities during the financial year.
  17. Not wishing to get in a legal argument with anyone here, but I have double checked the contents of this thread with senior auditors, tax investigators and senior tax lawyers. Unless there is an arrangement with Companies House to file these accounts as dormant/non trading, then as there is significant activity going throught their accounts they should be trading. I have checked back through historical accounts and nowhere does it say that they are part of a hive up to A&L (sorry techie tax term) or act as agent for A&L. Funnily enough, one other bank in-house DCA has its status marked as agent. This is what I would expect from GDM I have asked for further clarification from an expert in Financial Services. I will post back when I receive any more info.
  18. Unless you have something more out of the ordinary going on with your finances, you can file on line yourself without any help from outsiders. What aspect do you need info on? I work in tax BTW
  19. I have on many occassions complained successfully to food retailers, from reclaiming the cost of a coat which ripped on one of their counters to complaining about appalling service (got a huge bunch of flowers, £50 vouchers and a food hamper) I will help if I can Spot
  20. Well, well, looks like Drakes have done a sneaky!! Every director has lodged their address as the Registered address for the company. Either its one big bailiff commune or they really don't want anyone to know where they live!! I wonder why??
  21. If you want the names and addresses of the directors etc, I can get them for you free. Let me know
  22. I agree with this. All too often the good is forotten about.
