  1. Well, what a kerfuffle! My experience with legal issues are let the legal people do their job. I'm sure your solicitor would advise against not posting on here. I posted my problem and received good, free advice. My problem was resolved. I'm more than happy to support my case with evidence and supporting documentation. As always, there is more to add and two sides to every story.
  2. In one reply you state that I'm not your customer, so how do you have all the documents and emails?
  3. For clarity, the emails I refer to were to the dealership. Now I could post them, but I may be committing slander or libel even defamation or all of the aforementioned!
  4. My comments still stand. Furthermore I have copies of all the emails from myself or daughter to the dealership. I don't think they would help your case.
  5. I instructed a law firm to carry out a review for, Continued Health Care Funding (CHC) for my mum, who is in a care home paying £5000 per month. Cost £2100, when I received a copy of the report certain 'domains' were, in my opinion wrong. They said mum would walk round collecting cups and saucers, She can't walk!! And that she could eat - she can't feed herself. There was more, but you get the picture. Today, I have had an NHS CHC review, and they 'scored' my mum much higher in most of the domains. . The NHS done a proper job, and scored accordingly. The opposite of what I expected. It's been less than a month since the law firm did the independent review, mums condition has not changed. I think this is what's happened, I have been charged £2100, they appointed a nurse who made a few calls, and maybe a zoom call and pocketed a nice chunk of the fee for her time. The information given was wrong and when I raised concerns, the report had been done people paid and they don't want to do revisit it. I have asked a refund because the report was not fit for purpose, but I'm fuming because I think i've been ripped off. I suspect the solicitor will not just say 'yeah ok our appointed nurse done a happy job here's your refund. Any advice would really be appreciated. Cheers, Paul

  7. Marks responce to all my copy and paste updates. Very very well put. I like that. In fact i will keep it to send to anyone i come across in same situation. Thanks Sent from my iPhone
  8. I would have done the same as you, in your position. Thanks so much for your help, I've sent the advice to Mark and he is very relieved. I wish on a personal level there was a solution for Care Home fees, that situation is causing me some stress, sadlyhadr to sell mums house to pay towards the fees - awful illness.
  9. All very valid points, I will be speaking with him this week and explain the situation. I think one off the most stressful things for him, and anyone in this position is not knowing what can happen, what they can and can't do. It's been a real eye opener for me!! thank you all once again. cheers, Paul
  10. Many thanks for that, knowing Mark, as I do I think he will take this advise. It does sound to me that there is very little they can do to him. I was amazed even got such a huge credit line when he could never afford to pay it back once he hit the £75k. I have asked him for the lenders etc and will post the details once i get them. Again thank you all, cheers, Paul
  11. Thank you all very much. I will get the information of all the outstanding loans etc and come back to you all. if one of them take him to court will he have to disclose all his bank statements etc?
  12. Thanks very much. It looks like put up with being hounded or go bankrupt. What are the stages of debt collection, letters, emails, calls. Then, it just carries on until the debt is purchased by someone else? Is it likely they will take him to court and insist on looking over all his bank accounts etc? I suspect that is an option he will want to avoid , given the nature of some purchases, lots in the pub, meals and generally having a good time. I think he always had the intention at some point of walking away.
  13. He works for himself as a builder / decorator so bankruptcy wouldn't affect anything. However, I suspect the fee for bankruptcy could be a problem, as his work is hit and miss. I don't suppose any of the credit card / loans would make him bankrupt, because they won't get anything and it will cost them?
  14. A very good friend has managed to rack up about £75,000 in debt, via credit cards and loans. Now, things have took a turn for the worst regarding his work - now he basically does a few jobs cash in hand. He has no assets as such, a car maybe £1000, he lives with his girlfriend ( she owns the property) He does not claim any form of benefits. From what I can gather the various companies have sold the debt to collection agencies, so he is getting bombarded with phone calls and emails. I tried to open the debt must read section but I get error messages. Could somebody point me in the right direction so I can offer so help, he's in a bit of a state - hence me offering to help. Many thanks in advance... Paul
  15. You are correct in one thing. You're not being funny. At the time we had both decided to have mirror wills, that's why I paid. My wife is now dead. So, in future desist in making wrong assumptions and using childish emojis. Just stick to the matter in hand and answer questions.
  16. On October 2008 I made my will with a local solicitor and paid for it. At the time I also paid for my wife to make a will out, she never did for various reasons. I have asked the solicitor for a refund. They seem reluctant to do so. They are asking for proof of sending the funds, a case number then they will 'look in to it' I have give them the date and made my will out, my address at the time and advised they should be able to find the details from that. Any help in this matter would be appreciated - I do get the opinion i'm being given the run around.
  17. Thanks very much. I have some homework to do, !! Do I have to get the work do before taking action against them?
  18. The house I guess is worth about £400k, no idea what the mortgage is, I would think about £50k. He has family. I think in some ways you could be right, let him live in peace with even two AuPairs!!! However, I think the family don't have his best interests at heart I understand his current lender could accept an extension of his mortgage term without too much fuss? Don't get me going about care home fees and oldies!!!!!!
  19. They have refused a refund, stating it's after 30 days. However, I think they want me to go away. Repair to fix everything locally £750, I would accept 50% of that then I can sell the car and not feel bad. I would lose about £500 selling it privately - but at least it okay. Or they take the car back and refund me £3000. They are really bad news, they stated it's my fault for buying a car 100 miles away!!
  20. https://www.carcentralbrum.co.uk/about.php Yes, you were correct too. Buy local.
  21. No, he has not got the funds to pay the balance or any saving plan running alongside it.
