I trawled through all the contact posts and got all the names I could. Then through a process of elimination found out if they were HBOS or Halifax e-mail addressed or neither. (ie I sent to both and saw which one came back) All of these were successfully delivered yesterday afternoon. I started of by sending a snotty e-mail to [email protected] then immediately forwarded it to:- [email protected], the BIG Boss with CC to all these [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] I couldn't resist putting in a sarcastic remark about forgetting to keep them in the loop! I know these are non-specicific but at least with the big boss on there it makes a great distribution group and if we all do it we can really be a pain! Remove Adrien Percy from above it bounced back this morning. As for the rest of them it's been 24 hours since the e-mails were sent and no-one else has bounced back. Maybe it might just reach someone who can actually do something! (Fat chance!) Would like to know please. If they don't reply to my SAR (and they've only got a week left without me hearing a thing so far), I will report them and possibly go to court to force compliance, but what is the timescale for that scenario? I've trawled through threads and searched on any key word I can think of but can't find anyone else in the same boat. I'm dealing with the Portsmouth branch direct, should I change tack and go to head office? There are plenty of addresses in the contact thread. I'll actually be in Portsmouth at the weekend. If I go in to my branch any ideas about the demands I can reallistically make? Would be grateful for any help

Hi, I sent my SAR to halifax on 1/9 so the 40 days is up on 10/10, allow two days for postage that's 12/10. To date I haven't heard a dicky bird, and neither has my friend who sent the same letter, same day to BOS. (Yes, we sent recorded & £10 etc) Questions are: Do I chase them up or let the due date arrive first? If the due date passes I know to send a complaint to the registrar - but what do I send to the bank as I don't know the amount of my charges? Final question for this post. I now live in Scotland but my branch is in Portsmouth. Will I teke them to court in England or Scotland? Do I have the choice? If so I think I would lean toward the English system but would be grateful for any advice. Cheers Buck

Hi! I went through the process of finding out how much they had charged me in Feb/March. The company then sent me to Nigeria for six months so I couldn't do much else. I had got as far as sending the 'request for repayment'. (The reply was sent to my home address instead of the forwarding address I gave them!!) So, my question is - where do I pick up? Pre legal action letter or another request for payment? There have been no further charges since I started. Further, when I was on the old BAG site in March I remember seeing a draft letter which was HUGE with loads and loads of 'legalese', quoting precedents, statutes etc. I've been through the site looking at everything to do with letters but can't find it. Anyone know if it's still on the site or has it been replaced? Thanks all Buck

It was one of the first letters I read whilst investigating whether I should claim and I've spent hours looking for it to copy. I don't want the wishy washy first approach one I want to hit them with all guns blazing! Would appreciate a pointer in the right direction.
