  1. Sorry guys, just doing a little bump for tom! And welcome Tom!
  2. Hi Kia, a CCA is the Consumer Credit Agreement you sign upon opening your account. As a DC(debt collector), CL finance, or anyone else for that matter cannot colect a debt if they don't have this*. The CCA request is in the templates library, if you send that to CL finance and see what comes back- worth a shot!
  3. mm, sounds like me- in a way, too generous to let them have it, but then again- glad to have it! lol. well done!
  4. good evening all, recent phone calls from a DCA over a £23 debt annoyed me so much I thought sod it, a week before pay day- if i get an overdraft- tehy'll get their money! Friday 1100 hours: went into branch, applied with the branch manager for an overdraft of £25- this would be faxed to Personal Lending and actioned same day. friday 1500 hours: gave them a call to see when it would be actioned- apparent 48 hour turnaround, but it looked like it would be on by monday monday 1500 and ever since- called personal lending- trying to get an answer, call back, we'll chase it, the branch should chase it, someone will ring you. nothing. So i just rang again, and spoke to a manager who told me they dont offer overdrafts less than £50! I am so mad!  the branch told me today they were too busy to chase it, and they are short staffed! i rang customer care- they close at 5!
  5. don't worry about it, just send Prelim & Schedule, it may be worth giving them a call (01422 380880/08457203040) to say you dont need the statements- you might get ya tenner back! then its just the waiting game!
  6. Sorry Severstar, Path Finder is right here, although it states all over the site that CAG offers General Advice & Guidance only, I wouldn't feel comfortable to say anything here. If you want consumer oppinion with no liability maybe try reading online reviews?
  7. Hi all, just a quickie, A friend recently submitted SAR to Barclays, and recieved a response with the cheque enclosed explaining that their is no record of the account on file. A return was sent, including the cheue, and a statement- proving the account existed! A phone call came- we cannot trace the account! After going into long discussions about DPA, it was agreed Barclays CS would investegate further. 28 days later, no response from Barclays so my friend rang them, and explained she would request a court order for the data- they asked for an estimate of the amount of charges she thought she would be claiming- quick of the mark, roughly double the amount £3000..... Ok, leave it with us and we'll get back to you..... 24 hours later, we are issuing a cheque and full & final settlement form, but the terms state that no court order can be made, and we strongly advise against registering complaints with ICO/FOS. Well- to be honest, I wouldnt bother complaining if I'd made about £1500 profit! But just one to watch for- if they question.... double it, no, tripple it!
  8. Well done Sharkie! It's a great feeling when they just keep coughing up isn't it!
  9. Hi Dolphin, I hope they stop ringing, they did me eventually, but then it was the DCA's that were ringing constantly. Have you been keeping a log of calls? This is often a good way for those who don't have recording equipment, and I believe this is what you are advised to do in any case of harassment, as it really does highlight the frequency! Take the name of the Collections Agent (If they're willing to provide it!) and also that of their team manager- customer relations might ask for this if you were to log a complaint. Although I don't know the background, obviously these guys work with an ADS (Automatic Dialling System), and they are stuck with it, they have strict guidelines to follow for taking people off the 'dialler', and as usual, its these guys that get it in the neck from us! One of my mates used to work in Collections & Recoveries for HBoS, and was unfortunate enough to speak to the same person, once an hour, for 3 days! Obviously this is harassment, and this is a direct result of the use of ADS, it may be worth writing a short letter to your MP outlining this, perhaps enclose a log og the calls/frequency. May not do any good, but highlighting the issue can;t have a negative impact! Good Luck!
  10. Thanks, now I understand it, and the majority of my debt was as an Employee- including teh tremeandous debt to my sanity, I will start with CCA requests. Thank you!
  11. Bump and Note for LivelyLad: i knew there was a reason they give you all these leaflets! but unorganised people such as myself often file in a bin! sorry!
  12. Sorry Clutchign at straws.... Dont get that?!
  13. mmm, this is where the chat room would come in handy- I would get an answer instantly- without having to go into all this and not necesarily get a reply! Cant wait for its return! I opened this account as a HBoS Employee, I got pulled in for it being overlimit etc. I then left, as I felt that my senior management were being narrow minded, and harrassing me about the account. (Fair enough I got Six months full pay for being off sick, but that was there fault. So, are IQOR likely to have a CCA for the account, and if not, where do I stand, as clearly tehy will have records of the account on my employment file?
  14. Afternoon All, I had a Provident Loan that I took out last August- and have been paying weekly via the agent. Earlier this year I was out of work, and struggled to pay full payments regularly. I started work- so benefits ceased, but it was 5 weeks before I got paid- I gave a letter to the agent, explaining this, and I would be 5 weeks behind before I paid up- she said this was fine, when it came to payday- a bacs problem meant I was paid by cheque- missing tyhe payment date- i provided a letter from work- the agent said this was fine, and she would come later in the week. She did, however, only to tell me that the area manager had said they had waited long enough and to refuse payment- it was there on the side waiting! I have now recieved a letter from CK Edrupt demanding full payment of over £400, I cant afford it- they are threatening court action- I feel like letting them, and telling the court what happened- the agent is willing to put in writing that she was told to refuse payment- would it be worth it? please help!
  15. Just another thing- why do they keep changing there name???? 01/06/2007 IQOR RECOVERY SERVICES LIMITED 13/04/2007 IRMC COLLECTIONS LIMITED 21/03/2005 LEGAL & TRADE LIMITED
  16. Good Afternoon all! Havent been on for a while, so much going on, but this one had to be posted- before the scheming ***** get anyone else! Transcript of Call: "Hi is that mr ****," "Can I ask who is calling" "it is a personal business call for Mr ****" "Well unfortunately, unless you are able to tell me where you are calling from I will be unable to provide you with any information regarding this person, nor confirm whether or not you are speaking to them" "Well, its a personal call from IQOR" "Yes, this is Mr **** speaking" "Can you confirm your date of birth and address for me please" "NO, not over the telephone to a stranger!" "Well Mr ****, we have been trying to contact you for several months regarding outstanding debt....etc." "Ok, so who are IQOR?" "its the new name for Legal and trade colelctions" "well i am ever so sorry for the confusion, but I think it is my son you are wanting, and he's now left the country- and no, I dont have any contact details, he's travelling." "Well you have just confirmed that you are Mr ****" "Surely IQOR's training tells you to use an initial, at one point there were 6 Mr ****'s here! and i dont really think you should be discussing other people's outstanding debt with me do you?" **DEAD LINE*** Oh dear Legal & Trade, IQOR or whatever name we are now using- breach of DPA there I think? I really should use a recorder, but never mind, just be careful guys!

  20. Hi all, Citi are saying that they no longer have information on an account held less than 6 years ago- shall I carry on banging my head against the wall/go to the ICO, or what? any help is great ta!
  21. Hi guyz, Hoping someone is able to help me here- I claimed from halifax, and won in full, on the full & final declaration, it states that the funds will be credited to account- I rang them to explain the account was with a DCA, they told me to cross that out and write to be returned by cheque to home address- but they have credited to the account! Can they do this? and Can I get it back?
  22. Hi Lorry77, Now I'm not 100% on this one, but I believe the funds would be transferred to the IVA- but maybe this bump up the thread might help get a few more responses?!!! Good Luck Buddy
  23. Well, the Halifax closed it's Liverpool service centre recently, and displaced hundreads of employee's, however, it now appears the centre will partially re-open as a Claim Centre- initially for 6 months. Staff are being recruited internally, from processing agents to operations managers, to assist in the processing of claims for bank charges!!!! A manager who was displaced has recieved this info from a HR advisor! lets hope the processing speeds up!
  24. Hi guyz & dollz, This is a link to a thread I posted based on some inside information i was given- maybe not 100%, but its beginning to look like it maybe? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/halifax-bank-bank-scotland/88900-my-own-whsitleblower.html All i would advise is stick to YOUR timescale indefinitely- afterall, if they were claiming against you, it may be a bit different?!
