Decline letter away giving them till Friday 15th, as LBA was 9th June but offer recvd after, or away to court! It is only for £420, am sure they can afford it!!!!!

Have decided to reject and continue with court claim, whadya think?

Has anyone had a response from RBOS credit card (letter issued from Cards Customer Services) offering a settlement which is not the full amount??? I am claiming £420 from them in charges and they have offered £152.69 'the difference between our original charge and the current £12 late payment charge'. I sent the accept as part payment, but will pursue the rest letter, and they have sent a reply stating the same, they are still only offering £152.69 as final response. Not sure what to do. Has anyone else had this from RBOS? Normally would pursue claim but not sure. Help! :o Alison

HELP! I sent my SAR to Egg on 26th March 2997, they sent me back a letter stating they require ID. This has been sent and acknowledged. They have still not sent me my statements so am sending a non-compliance letter today. I read on other threads that some people are 'estimating' charges and sending a prelim with an estimate. Should I do this, or go through court proceedings (which I really don't want to do at this stage). Anyone any ideas what I can do now? Thanks

Hi Claire I have just claimed against Studio and won. They pay out the admin charges, but are not paying out the service charges (pity). They did pay out quite quickly though. Alison

Sorry, didn't read properly and this has already been answered. I sent a prelim to studio caliming over £400 which includes service charge and admin charges. They have sent me a chq for £114 and cleared by £86 balance 'as a gesture of goodwill without prejudice etc etc.' for admin charges charged on my account. They have not paid me the 'service charge' Should I sent the will accept this as part payment letter?? Thanks Alison

This thread is great, I am just about to start a claim with Studio. I have received my statements in ultra quick time! Did anyone claim for the service charge? They already claim interest, seemingly the service charge is the interest on the order?? I might claim and see what happens. Any advice much appreciated. Alison

If you have any past statements with charges on it, you could make sure they match, but some statements might have missing information also.

I received my statements yesterday and 2 were missing so I phoned them and asked to be read out the missing info. The girl asked if it was just the charges I was looking for, then said if you write to them asking for a complete list of charges, there is no charge for this!! Typical after spending money to get my statements!!!!

FYI I recevied my statements yesterday within 6 days (@ £2.50 per statement!! which I disagreed to, but am claiming back!) and there were 2 missing. I phoned them and they said if you write to them asking for a 'complete list of charges' on your account, it is FREE!!!

I was thinking that, where does it state we need to send them ID to get our statements, surely through freedom of information, we don't need ID, only an account number!! Alison

Talk about stalling, they are going to have to pay out eventually. They are obviously hoping people will 'give up' and they will get to keep our money, I DON'T THINK SO................

Hi I am just about to start a claim with Studio. Can you please let me know what you claimed back, the service charge is a complete con, they charge you interest on your balance, and charge you interest on your order! Also when you order lots of things, they send them is loads of different boxes so you have to pay postage and packing loads of times. Thanks Alison

Hi Luke I have just phoned Virgin for copy statements and was told it is £2.50 per statement!!! I said I want them all sent but will pay no more than £10 for the lot. She said she couldn't send them out unless they charge £2.50. I agreed and explained I will be claiming it all back anyway. What stage are you at? What address did you use? Thanks and good luck! I am claiming through Bank of Scotland because as usual, they are ignoring LBA's!!! I can use an address in England, but live in Scotland. In MCOL, it asks for an address for the defender, must be in England and Wales. What address do I put here? Thanks

If you use an English address for a Scottish claim, do the banks not question why you've moved house? Also what correspondence is sent to this address? Thanks
