  3. Afternoon all, just a query about penalty fares. My girlfriend was recent given a penalty fare on her usual journey between Old Hill and Worcester. She travels this route about three times a week and usually manages to buy a ticket. Normally the ticket office is really busy and you have to wait about 5 mins to be served, on this particulat morning the queue was bigger than normal and she waited 5 mins but had she waited any longer would have missed the train. The Permit To Travel machine was out of action and the display said to pay at the ticket office, which obviously she h
  4. Thanks for that, was pretty sure that would be case, but wanted someone else's opinion.
  5. Morning all. This is probably a new one. I month or so ago booked a game of football at one of the above centres. Unfortunately we werent able to raise a team, so cancelled three days before. This cancellation was accepted, and I thought that was the end of the matter. Then the letters started, demanding payment of £20 membership fee and £37.50 as an indesript charge. When I initially called I was not told of a £20 membership fee, and when I cancelled I was not told of a cancellation fee. Basically no fees were ever mentioned. As far as I was aware I never made any
  6. Thanks for the reply. I have looked at the white paper on both the battery and the phone itself. Both are as white as white. From viewing other forums it seems that this maybe a bit of an issue with Sony Ericssons in general.
  7. Afternoon, My girlfriend recently took her phone back to T-Mobile for the third time as it repeatedly turned itself off and eventually stopped working. It never worked properly from the time she had it in May but T-Mobile were always insistant on repairing rather than replacing. When the phone eventually packed up she took it to T-Mobile who sent it away for repair. It arrived back this week, and they say they cannot fix it as it has been water damaged. This just seems like a big cop out to me, as the phone has never been near water, isnt used in an abnormally steamy or humid envi
  8. Just a quick update on this one. Lloyds have paid today. £740 on a £130 claim, its seems they must be getting sloppy. Thanks for all your help. I'll make a donation to the fund as well.
  9. Cheers Champnos, I'm gonna get that done.
  10. I'll get that off today. I had sent them quite polite letter about. But having read other people's posts I realise that'll get me no where.
  11. I had sent the prelim letter to them. That was all.
  12. Ah well. £750 would have been nice but I'll settle for the original amount.
  13. The number rings through to an automated service. Then tells you that all lines busy and asks you to leave a message. After the message has been left it says that the message box is full and the message cannot be stored. If they're sloppiness means they have to pay over the odds then so be it. They've been ripping people off for years. Would a court uphold the offer? Or could Lloyds claim some kind of pitiful defence. Thanks for all your help on this everyone!
  14. If they have sent a standard letter and have made an offer do they have to honour it? Where does that leave my claim? Will they then just credit the £130 or will I have to continue to court?
  15. No thats right. Thats why I find it so strange that they offered to settle for £750. I didnt question it at the time because I just that if they wanted to pay that much its up to them.
  16. Has the £750 been credited yet? What date was the letter sent? The reason I ask is that I was also offered £750 to be credited in ten working days and they are now two days past the ten days.
  17. Hi all, I have been claiming £130 from Lloyds. On the 3rd July they wrote to me telling me that they were going to pay me £750 as full and final settlement to my claim and it would be credited to my account within ten working days. Ten working days would have been Tuesday just gone. It hasnt been credited and I cannot contact them. The telephone number for the service recovery centre in Andover is constantly busy and thier message service doesnt work. It all seems a little strange to me. Any ideas?
  18. I have written to the court with regards this. We recieved a reply saying that the defendant must comply with the court order before the hearing on the 30th. They havent complied. We havent recieved any docs from them, should we still attend court tomorrow? If we do is it likely that SCM will attend?
  19. Hi, I have a court date set for the 30th January. I'd not received any docs from sechiari so I wrote to the court on the 17th requesting that they be struck out and also copied sechiari in on the letter. I've not heard from either. If I dont hear anything do I just attend court? What will happen as I've not received copies of Lloyds evidence.
  20. I have supplied Lloyds's solicitors and the courts with documents that were requested, in preparation for the hearing on 30th January. The 14 day deadline ends on the 16th and I've still not recieved anything from them. Taking into account that there is a weekend between now and then it isnt alot of time. What happens if I do not receive copies of the docs they'll be using at the hearing?
  21. Hi all, I am sorting my girlfriend's bank account. Her case has been allocated to the small claims track, as most others seem to have. And it has been requested that each party submit to every other party documents which they intend to rely on in court. What documents do I need to send to the court? Is it copies of all correspondence between Lloyds and us, and a schedule of when the charges were applied? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Tom
  22. Hi all, I am preparing the documents which I have to send to the court and also to Lloyd's solicitors. I put the original claim in for £445 and this is what I had counted up on past statments. Unfortunately now I can only seem to count up £395. I'm worried that I have miscounted and that this will not be looked on favourably. The other problem I have is that the statements have now disapeared from my online banking, before I had a chance to print them. So I cant now return to check them again. Anyone any ideas here?
  23. Hi all not posted for a while, since I did my own Lloyds TSB account. Which was successful. I have been processing a claim on behalf of my girlfriend and her Lloyds TSB account. A date has been set for the claim to be heard at Birmingham County Court. The main question I have is whether I can also be present in court or even represent her? As she is quite a shy person. Does anyone also know, have Lloyds changed solicitiors? When I put my claim through it was Martineau Johnson and my girlfriend's claim is being defended by Sechiari Clark and Mitchell.
  24. I myself took Lloyds to court and they settled at the same time as filing a defence, but they seemed to be using a solicitors called Martineau Johnson in London. However I am going through the same process on behalf of my girlfriend and she has just recieved the allocation questionnaire and it is Sechiari who are dealing with hers. I am confident that they will settle her case as they did mine. Lloyds seem to like to drag it out as long as possible. Hope that helps.
  25. I have replied to them accepting thier offer of the repayment of the charges in question. But I pointed out to them that this would only be on the provison that future charges would not be applied. I am waiting now for them to come back with a re-drafted offer.
