  1. I totally agree with this, I have had so much trouble with direct debits, they seem to be able to do what they want and no-one seems to be resonsible for anything, My account has been closed by Lloyds and they are still putting charges on my account >!! why I do not know they closed my account!!! I have just now got to the stage where I am refusing to contact them about it now other than anything to do with claiming my charges back, am just about to file court proceedings so this should be fun! Does anyone know if you win can you insist on payment by a cheque? Or do they put the money into an overdrawn account?
  2. I am getting into difficulty with my council tax at the moment I am paying for last years with an agreement with rossendales, unfortunatly this years bill has caught up with me, it has now been to court and I know that rossendales will be coming back, the problem I have is I just genuinely can't afford the amount they are asking for and am trying to move house, but this is difficult as I need a deposit for another house upfront as this one is tied up in the house I'm in, This is a real catch 22 situation, does anyone know how to keep the baliffs away or at least for a little longer?
  3. sorry wasn't very clear, it's the early redemption charge, and i was with southern pacific mortgages, the charge was for over £6000 which would have finished exactly one month after we paid it, as I sold my house I couldn't keep my buyers waiting for a month unfortunatly but this cost me the erc
  4. Can anyone help? I know that the ERC is at present not reclaimable, but I have found a letter on this site where I can try for it, I was one month away from the term period finishing and would like to reclaim, does anyone know anything about this? Cheers for your help
  5. :o I was wondering if anyone can answer some questions for me? I have my statements from my old mortgage, and am totally gobsmacked at the amount of money I gave Southern Pacific mortgages, the pleasure of having the mortgage with them for a little over three years we gave them £32281.17 !!! Un-believable !! Now what I'd like to know is basically what I can claim for? I paid an ERC of £6396.79 which is hard to stomach as we only had exactly one month left to run on that! I have Unpaid direct debit fee? Arrears Management Fee? Interest on Arrears? variation to mortgage fee? Litigation Fee (even though we never actually went to court!) Legal Costs ? (once again never went to court) CBD Own insurance fee? I'm sorry that this seems to go on but I really need some help

  9. Hi, Thanks, but do I just claim for the interest shown on my statement at this stage? as I don't quite understand what this 8% is all about?
  10. Hi, I'm a little confused, I have had my statements back from lloyds with a very polite letter asking if I want to go ahead and claim back the charges? I most certainly am going to, and I am just filling in the prelim letter and it says that I am to enclose a schedule of charges is there a a copy of one anywhere I can use? or do I just send back the statements altered about a bit? Thanks x:rolleyes:
