  4. Hi Missie I have received a letter from RMA but no phone call. They say they will be dealing with me from now on but it's not clear what happens next. I think I will give them a call to get the ball rolling. Janet
  5. Wrote to Amex saying that I could not maintain my monthly payments due to financial hardships but offered to make token payments for the time being. They replied with a Default Notice letter demanding payment and saying they are referring the matter to a debt collection agency and also stating I will be reported to a credit bureau. I replied confirming I intended to continue with my proposed token payments and enclosed details of my income/expenditure. I have now received a Notice of Cancellation letter saying balance is payable in full, the account has been transferred to a debt collection agency, a collection fee has been applied (they don't say how much), the debt collection agency will be in touch and I must correspond with them direct and they will register my default status with credit reference agencies. Any advice would be most welcome!
  6. The scanned letter which I sent you from the bank in reply to my DPA letter contains my bank account number. Please permanently delete this document and I shall send you a replacement document which does not have my bank details on it.
  7. Certainly. Did you want me to scan it and then email it to you?
  8. Sent a DPA letter relating to our joint account to Penny Berryman, Data Protection dept. Is this a standard reply? Should I query the £10 for each person charge? "Thank you for your letter of 28 February. I will pass your request for data relating to the last 6 years of account transactions to our specialist team and I will ask them to arrange for the transaction listings to be sent to you. I am not sure what you mean by "manual intervention" in the second paragraph of your letter but I will arrange for you to be sent a print of any notes that staff have made in the customer records system. I hope that this will be helpful. The Data team will send you a form so that if you subsequently decide to apply for all your personal data under the DPA you can do so. The standard fee is £10 per person."
  9. Many thanks Dammam for your prompt response.
  10. Can I reclaim the following bank charges which appear on my bank statements? O/D INTEREST O/D EXCESS FEE UNPAID D/D
