  2. Just got another £240 back off smile. I didn't even have to send a LBA. All I sent was a letter asking for the money back please, and 14 days later got a letter saying they have put the money back.
  3. Same thing happened to me 2 months ago. I sent a letter 14 days ago and they have put the OD back and given me the charges back.
  4. Another load of charges for no reason added to my un-used smile account. Sent a letter requesting £265 they have charged me in the last 2 months. I was £10 overdrawn but well within the £500 OD limit, then randomly, without informing me via phone, email, or secure message, they removed it 2 months ago. Customer services were not intrested and told me to put the money in to cover the charges. I have put the money in but I am getting it back. Bunch of monkeys!
  5. Just looking over this letter I have prepared to be sent to the Halifax, on the part where it states the charges is there a form which I can present it in, some sort of spreadsheet? Also I have used this address, can anybody let me know if they have used the same one? Once again all help is very much appreciated, many thnaks Halifax Plc. Customer Relations. 6. Howdy Guys and Gals, Just recieved my Bank Statements, and after my calculations, i'm owed a 'over excessive' £993, but i think i may round it down to £990, just to be kind! ...... On second thoughts I don't think i will. Anyway I have prepared my letter and it should be off in the post today, and lets see what happens from here. Carltonion (using monkey's PC)
  7. That is exactly what I got, paid up in full 2 days ago after the 1st letter. They know they are in the wrong.
  8. They were very reasonable with me, i claimed £550 which they gave me back today after my first letter. I think the reason they gave me it straight away is because most of the charges, were because of the charges they added taking me over every month.

.. and I am for a change. I sent my FIRST letter to smile ASKING for my chnarges back on the 6th of June, and I got a letter this morning the 28the june giving me my full charges and the interest back!!!! I think the banks are starting to realise they are in trouble as I was expecting to send at least the second letter. I have been with smile for 1 year and I claimed back £550 + interest. If one of the mods wants to add this to the litigation section, feel free. Also a big thankyou to the site and people for the excellent info and help!!! ...Barclays next.......
  10. Sounds exactly like my experience with them. Been with them 1 year and have nearly £500 worth of charges!

So if I am reading this correctly from the all the info in the library, I can from the start ask for my charges plus the interest that they have charged, then when I take court proceedings I can then ask for a further 8% in interest that I charge them for taking my money?

I am about to send a letter to smile to get my charges back, but I have 2 questions. The first question is, 7 months ago (before I new via this website that bank were illigally taking money from) I sent a letter saying of my discust at the charges they were charging me, (£230 for being 3 pence over my limit) and requested the charges back. They refused them. Now I have read through this site I am going to try again (charges now at £480), do I start from the begining with the preliminary letter or jump the 2nd threatning letter? My next question, on the prelininary letter template
