  4. Hi, just thought I'd warn anyone who's not aware of this like me. I have been dealing with DCM apex for many years now hopefully paying off my old debt. I've just phoned one of the companies who've sent me a letter going "where is my payment" to find out that DCM Apex went into administration on the 2nd of March 2011 I'm trying to find out more details but their website is useless http://www.dcmmoney.co.uk/ And their phone number 01159411076 is constantly engaged as is their O8451201040 number I'm posting this here as a warning to anyone else who is with them in a hope that they get to stop their direct debits in time.
  5. Congratulations Fizzbin thats great news
  6. Congratulations Joa, thats good news, I'm going to be claiming a similar amount to you so thats nice to hear that you've won
  7. Does anyone know the answer to the above ?
  8. Sorry quick question here re the preliminary approach letter. It says in it: So far all I've added up are overdraft excess fees & Unpaid DD charges, should I have added the overdraft interest as well ? or is the "plus" part for the 8% that we can claim if\when I take it to court ?
  9. Well, well, well, it's been a whille there was a reason for this though that was my doing but there's been an advancement. My credit card with lloyds has been about £100 over the limit (due to charges) for some time now and I kept getting phone call after phone call "when will you be making a payment" anyhoo one day I said to them I'd like all of my statements with regards to my CC and I've already sent a DPA request in, anyway they put me through to customer services, they said they'd send out the paperwork to fill in and send back. Till yesterday I heard nothing, then I get a big brown envelope through my door, all my statements dating back to July 2002 (Only 17 months missing) !!! so anyway I phone them up, saying "where are the other 17 months please" and they're going to chase that up today All in all I'm going to wait for that to arrive then continue with the claim, only this time for both my current account & my credit card
  10. Hiya Princess, just out of interest whats your rough eta of a reply from them ?
  11. Another quick question. I've worked out my charges and stuff. Now I'm preparing my preliminary approach for repayment letter. The question I have is looking through the steps are the timescales set in stone as it were. What I'm thinking is if I send the first letter, then the next that would mean I think a max of 28 days before it's time to file a claim (assuming things go "as usual") problem is thinking 28 days in advance I won't be able to pay for the court charges (the way my account goes it's usually empty by the second week of the month). So should I wait untill the dates all fall in line so I'll be able to do the court costs too or does it not matter about when I file the claim just the fact that I've given them enough "warning" it's coming
  12. Yes I did have an overdraft, I'm just concerned it seems to be the exact amount that the "overdraft excess fee" is and it doesn't show up at all since the overdraft excess fee seemed to appear ? Also it's interesting to see that the bounced DD fee has gone from £27.50 in 2001 to £35 in 5 years, for what I wonder.....
  13. Well well well, they've arrived Well I say they've arrived I have 29 pages of statements dated from when the accont was opened toSeptember 2001, then it changes to a view of my statement entries charges just stating my charges over the time from Sept 2001 to date.... Then I have a list of "Customer Notes" with lots of "MO STDLET" automatically generated Some with Names attached to them Then (and this is the interesting part) I have an entry dated 10th Dec with EXMGMT CUCO not sure what that means, but the note under it reads "No more charges to be refunded for customer as from 10/12/2002 Donna Davies" who was my account manager at the time. I recall what happened around this time but the note for that happens 6 days later when it notes about me making contact again with the EXMGMT CUCO code. Everything else to date has no names attached to them. The question I have at the moment is I have on my statement charges view I have an "Overdraft Usage Fee" thats basically £25 a month from Nov 2001 to March 2002 which seems to change into the Overdraft Excess Fee from April 2002 (read the Overdraft usage fee doesn't come up any more after that), is this one I can claim for do we think ?
  14. It's NOT reams and reams of T's and C's though You look through the list and go "oh I need this, I don't need this" and look up the one you want and act on them surely, or am I missing something here ?
  15. LOL Christ listen to yourself for a moment You think they have the manpower to phone you up and go "hello sir, we've given you mobile insurance, you just have to phone up and insure your handset" No no they don't is the answer to that, they did send you a letter telling you that your account charge was going up (I wasn't happy about that when I read it) and the "benefits" you get with it, I also phoned them up and found out that I can't take the AA insurance because I already take out independant AA cover that covers me all over the place. Sorry but you can't expect them to spoonfeed you information, this whole forum wouldn't exsist if they were like that, as I said Lloyds are assholes, I suspect over the past 6 years they've charged me over 4 grand, next month I'm expecting a total of £70 of bounced DD charges for a 5 and a 10 pound DD both of which bounced due to bad planning, they are assholes. This one however is a simple case of if you're not sure about something, find out some information about it.
