  3. I sent a DPA request on 10th April with a cheque for £10.00, & received a letter back 3 days later asking to phone them. I did & they just said that a letter is in the post to me. It arrived this morning as a list of charges (£809.00) for my account which was closed in may 2005, and they also returned my cheque. Now I'm about to write with my preliminary approach for payment. I'll keep you posted.
  4. Hello all, I sent my DPA letter to Halifax head office on Friday 17th March with a cheque for £10.00. On Sunday I discovered that I'd been cloned & some low-life so & so had the last £140 out of my overdrawn account on Saturday, with cheques pending. The lady in the branch on Monday morning said it could be 6 weeks before I get my money back. I hope to claim my charges back before then! (£695 in Jan2006 alone) but she couldn't guarantee me not being charged before I get paid. Cover your hands when you PIN. It is big & it is clever.
