  4. Hi all, I've been in dispute with NR for many months now. I remortgaged with them ( from them, I may add) and it cost me lots in fees as well as early repayment penalty. My problem was that there statements have not made any sense at all. Fees taken from here there and everywhere. I am notw at the 3rd stage of their complaints process.... and have slipped a request to tell me EXACTLY their method for charges and penalties, lol. Mo
  5. Hi, I've also received the " you knew what our terms and conditions were" letter in response to my first request letter. So, I'm off to write my LBA Ta Mo
  6. Hi all, I've had my second offer to partly settle - £208 out of £500 or so. This followed on from the LBA I sent them. So, is it moneyclaim for me now? I'm in sunny Scotland - any tips? Ta Mo
  7. Hi, I've received all my statements yesterday. Seem to have around £600 worth of charges to claim back. Writing my first request today> Mo
  8. Hi, I've been looking for this letter too, unsuccessfully. Where did u find it? Ta Mo
  9. I got my letter today too!! Again, well past the 40 days - but, I will take great pleasure in ounting up the charges!! Mo
  10. Not the earlier ones, no. They did send the most recent ones - I might have the older ones in my cupboard - just need some time to look, lol.
  11. Hi JMio, Sory to hear you've not had much luck with the CB and their refusal to gave backdated statements. I've fallen off the wagon a bit with this - had redundancy notice and had to dedicate my time to getting a new job. Which I did - start next week. Let me know if theres anything we can do. Mo
  12. I sent initial DPA request last week and received a prompt reply from Fiona Hutton, Network Support. Briefly, they claim that the DPA 1998 only covers statement information from July 2005 onward - which they will charge me 10 pounds Again, they say a charge of 5 pounds per statement is required from those statements pre July 2005. They state thay have 40 days in which to provide me with the post July 2005 statements. I used the template from the library - no mention of a request for statements, just charges.. What now?? Ta Mo
  13. Thanks, I can get them from my online statements. Just need confirmed that these 94D charges are all that I have incurred. Many thanks Mo
  14. Hi, To clarify They have sent me a list of 94D Charges incurred The main bit in the letter states " Having completed my investigations into the points you have raised I would now like to confirm my findings. Whilst I acknowledge it is your legal right to apply formally under the DPA for all the records we hold on you, your request is very specific. There is normally a 10 pound charge for a formal request, however in the interests of customer service I have provided a list of your bank charges since your bank account has opened, free of charge" In the past 2 months, I have incurred 200 pounds worth of bank charges that are not included in this list. The list ends 28/12/2005. I was so sure I had been charged more than the list states - but I may be wrong. Many Thanks Mo
  15. Hi all, Sent DPA letter by email and recorded delivery last week. Got reply today!!! They have acknowledged that I have the l;egal right to apply for the records, the request is very specific. They have waived the fee and have provided free of charge a list of bank charges. They have enclosed a list of 94D charges - to the total of 416 quid. I know for a fact they have missed out 200 pounds worth levied on in the last 2 months. Are these 94D's the only charges that I can claim back? Many Thanks
  16. Thanks again, I've spent all morning reading the forum material. Also scrutinised my mortgage statement and discovered that they have charged me twice for my early redemption!! Have called and they agree and will call back on Monday. I'm on a mission now, lol. Ta Mo x
  17. Thanks Bankfodder, I have read the FAQ's and noted the answer about credit ratings. However, I was hoping for some clarification from other forum members in similair circumstances. Interesting point about the redemption penalties etc- will look to draft a letter about that. Think it cost me around 3k to remortgage last year!! Mo x
  18. Hi all, I'm really enthusiastic and motivated by reading all your posts. I do have a question however before I follow suit. I will be buying a house with my partner in the summer, therefore selling my own ( which will pay off my debt) and entering into a joint mortgage with my partner. If I start proceedings against the bank charges - I will be doing so against the Halifax, Clydesdale and numerous credit card companies - shall I be penalised when applying for my new mortgage!!!!! In addition, just athought here, are all these administration charges and redemption fees for remortgages legal? Many thanks to you all Mo x
