  1. Thanks Brian, cascade and garyhay - it's great to have so much help out there. Right, I'm off to read the summary cause guidance notes as it looks like this is the way to go!! I'll keep you posted!
  2. Hi, I'm about to begin a claim against HBOS, but am unsure about the different routes to go down. I'm claiming just under £1500. Should I split this into 2 x £750 small claims? What is a Summary Cause? Am I correct in thinking I might be better using this method, thus claiming it all at once? If so, how does the procedure differ? I'm probably being really thick here, but it all gets very confusing - especially when you try to find something you read previously!!
  3. Thanks, Sea-side Lady! I'll go there now...
  4. Hi there! This is my first post, and I must admit I'm finding it all pretty scary!! I've studied this site several times over the last couple of months, and now that I've finally worked up the courage to send my preliminary claim, I can't find some of the stuff I vaguely remember reading!. Can anyone help with a couple of questions... 1. Is "Contractual Interest" the itemised amounts against each charge, ie Column F in the Scottish Excel spreadsheet? Can this be claimed at preliminary stage? 2. Did I read somewhere that Scottish claims must be under £750 in total, because of the Small Claims law in Scotland? The words "head" and "minced" come to mind...!
