  1. I'm not sure if this really matters but it has been bugging me for a few months now. Alot of the time when i order from studio nothings ever in stock, no warning or anything. I ordered an ipod on the 6th as a present and it was out of stock, i emailed to ask when it would be back in stock and they said i will have it by the 6th oct. If they had warned it was out of stock i would of brought it somewhere else. Now i have had to email again to cancel, wasting my time. This happens all the time with them. Surely they have to warn you if something is out of stock? Its just ridiculous. If i had another choice i would shop elsewhere but things are tight at the moment and i have to get things on credit. Thanks in advance for any help
  2. I'm not sure if this is the right place or if anything can be done but thought it would be worth asking. We live in a first floor flat and have incredibly noisy neighbours in the flat above. They have 4 small children running around all day. I have been complaining to the council for the best part of the last 3 years. Admittedly the council have tried to help, i've had noise equipment etc but nothing came of it because the noise is from children and is not anti social which i agree with. However i do believe that its not fair on us to have to put up with this all day and night. The neighbours have laminate flooring which is making the situation even worse. They installed it during the complaining so they knew there was noise problem but continued to put it down. They were told by the council they had to take it up and put carpet down, they even got good underlay to put under the carpet for them but the neighbours have refused to do it saying that they cant have carpet because of their sons asthma. This is all fair enough but where do i go now? Its not my fault they have 4 children and have noisy laminate and yet it is me and my family that suffer all day and night because of it. Its not just the odd footsteps that can be heard its thumping, its REALLY bad. They make no effort to keep the noise down what so ever and they are aloud to get away with it. Shouting, crying, running around, slamming doors, noisy sex at night, the list could go on. They are the type of people that have kids so they dont have to work. They have a 'i dont care attitude'. The council have refused to re house them because they continue to have children for what they can get out of it. They are majorly over crowded and its us dealing with it. We were awarded more points after my doctor got involved because my son has a condition that makes him very poorly and he is unable to rest at home, but its not enough to get us moved. Can anyone help? I'm at my wits end
  3. No i havent, is that what i should be doing?? How do i do that? I emailed them to say that i was not increasing my payment and that there was no agreement, they have ignored the email and are still sending me letters threatening to send someone round. What do i do now?
  4. Thanks guys, thats a great help. Thankfully its a standing order. I'm not sure how old the debt is but i think its about 4 maybe 5 years. It was a credit card with lloyds tsb.
  5. Ps - the letter also says that i have defaulted on my agreement to pay £15 a month. There was no agreement because i didnt say i would pay the increased amount!!
  6. Hope you guys can help me. I currently pay moorcroft £10 a month off a credit card debt of a grand. They sent me a letter a while back saying they wanted me to increase my payment to £15 a month. I ignored the letter because i thought they were trying it on, i cant afford that and they know it. This morning they have sent me a letter saying that i have defaulted because i havent increased my payment and they are going to take me to court. Can they do this? I am at my wits end, nothing is ever good enough for them I havent defaulted i pay on time every month.
  7. I've done the letter, i'll send it recorded in the morning just to be on the safe side. I paid with my debit card online, i havent set up a direct debit. Thank you so much for all your help
  8. I've already paid ten pounds off my account, and offered to pay ten pound a week untill its paid though, can i still send it? I was scared and upset and didnt want another visit
  9. Would it be worth me complaining to them about the way he dealt with it? Thanks for the reply
  10. Hi, hopefully you can help me. I've had someone from philips at my door this afternoon claiming that i owe them £76 for gas used at my previous address, i moved from there just over 2 years ago. Now at the time i had no idea what he was talking about, i am pretty sure that i paid the final bill before i moved, but i have no proof of that. Firstly he said that he was a baillif? and secondly that this matter has been to court. He was very rude, he wouldnt let me speak, i was trying to find out what the debt was for, as far i'm concerned it could have been for anything. He basically told me that if i didnt hand him the £76 over there and then he would come back and add onto this amount. He knew nothing only how much it was and that it was british gas. The letter that he has given me doesnt say anything about it going to court, nor have i had any letters through the post about it. I asked him to show me some id and it actually took him 5 minutes or so to rumage through his wallet and find it. Surely if he was a bailiff he would have it to hand? I was very scared and i think he could see that and used it against me. Sorry if this doesnt make any sense, i'm not very good at getting my point across. Thanks for any replies. (oh yes and he did look rather scruffy! The bailliffs i've seen on the tv were always suited and booted)
