  2. I know, I know, I am being lazy and like you say, if I wasnt right they would be offering me £400+, but at the same time, that money would make a real difference to me right now rather than in however many months it takes to go further. I have also read the the OFT said their recent ruling applied top only Credit Cards, and while it seems that people who do go the whole hog are all getting the full amount, I really cant afford to take that risk! So, will invest this cash wisely and next stop Capital One! Still, given my relative success have be singing the praise of this site to all and sundry, and getting other people to go through the steps. I did try and donate yesterday, but am having trouble accessing my paypal through the link given on this site, not sure why as is fine when I go through other sites (such as ebay). But dont worry, I will be showing my gratitude fiscally!
  3. Well, got the standard, we acknowledge but dont agree letter offering a final settlement of £435 on the weekend, which I am going to accept as that going to pay for me to go out to Oz and see my big brother, so quite happy, given that 4 months ago I didnt even know I was entitled to anything! Happy hunting to everyone else, and a big thank you to this site!
  4. Well, still nothing further from them, am going to wait another week and give them a call see whats happening....
  5. Well, sent off the first letter back in March. Got my statements a couple of weeks later and at no charge, which was a surprise, said the normal £5 was being waived as goodwill. Was quite surprised that they didnt actually address the complaint in that letter. Still worked out to about £650 which I was surprised about as felt like I had been hit by more in the last few years, so letter number 2 went off. Funnily enough I got hit with another couple of £30 charges just after I sent letter 2...which is a nice way to deal with a complaining customer, had my "we have recieved you complaint and are dealing with it" letter on the weekend, so now will just wait and see what happens...fingers crossed. Having read that a lot of people are being offered 1/2 refund, not sure what I will do if thats the case. Even a 1/2 the amount refunded would be great as until discovering this site was unaware what my options were, and even half the amount owed would make a big difference to me at the mo...anyone else had a similar dilemma?
