Hi-de-ho campers, I thought I should post a thread in here as this website has been so damn helpful, it's only fair. I sent my original letter on the 10-Sep-06 and surprisingly recieved my bank statements within a week along with the return of my cheque! Bonus! After sending my initial request for the £3550 illegitimately levied from my account over the last 6 years (21-Sep-06), I recieved the standard b*llsh*t letter telling me that the complaints dept would be in touch no later than the 23-Oct! Unfortunately, in my error, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait until the 23rd, hence this post now. Not sure why I did this as Barclays have never given me any leeway over the last 9 years... Anywho, I then recieved a letter offering me a poxy £1000 (but note this is "not as an admission of guilt or wrongdoing"!! lol!!). I am now composing a letter which could be considered the lovechild of the LBA and the response to offer letters... a kind of mongrell letter if you will. There will be no leeway this time however, they have 14 days to pay up (unlikely I know) or I will be wading into a court case with my big size 10s! I will let you all know how I get on as no doubt I will have questions and I know how useful and persausive this information was for me! Keep the faith, Jizzmonkey
