  1. WARNING My anti-virus software is saying that link is infected with a trojan virus -------------------------------- Link disabled - Bankfodder
  2. Yes. When you get the reply, scan it and post it on this thread (blanking out personal details). Some of the more experienced posters will look it over for you and give their verdict on its validity. Remember to print your name, don't sign the letter.
  3. The ticket was a return to London from Eltham, unless there was disruption on the Eltham line, you should have returned to Eltham, to return to a different station within the zone you should have bought a travelcard (all day travelcard £10). Remember the zones circle London, by your reasoning traveling from Eltham to Richmond via London should be allowed because you are still returning to a zone 4 station. The inspector probably kept your ticket because it is now evidence, (ticket to Eltham taken from passenger at Woolwich Arsenal). Sorry I'm not the bearer of better news.
  4. Have you sent a dispute letter, to show that you consider the account to be in dispute?
  5. I seriously doubt if it will ever see court, they'd have to be seriously stupid especially as the last statement shows you're £2 in credit.
  6. I think twofoot was being humerous, I sure he's aware of Mr Tons experience.;-)
  7. Try this letter; Dear Sir/Madam You have contacted me/us regarding the account with the above reference number, which you claim is owed by myself/ourselves. I/we would point out that I/we have no knowledge of any such debt being owed to (insert company name). I am/we are familiar with the Office of Fair Trading Debt Collection Guidance which states that it unfair to send demands for payment to an individual when it is uncertain that they are the debtor in question. I/we would also point out that the OFT say under the Guidance that it is unfair to pursue third parties for payment when they are not liable. In not ceasing collection activity whilst investigating a reasonably queried or disputed debt you are using deceptive/and or unfair methods. Furthermore ignoring and/or disregarding claims that debts have been settled or are disputed and continuing to make unjustified demands for payment amounts to physical/psychological harassment. I/we would ask that no further contact be made concerning the above account unless you can provide evidence as to my/our liability for the debt in question. I/we await your written confirmation that this matter is now closed. Otherwise I will have no option but to make a complaint to the trading standards department and consider informing the OFT of your actions. Yours faithfully Do not sign the letter, print your name.
  8. Cool, the wife got one of those last week as well. Here's the link to the thread I posted, it has some usefull advice and a letter template;http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collection-industry/187001-wescot-credit-services-ltd.html
  9. We sent an harrasment letter to BOS concerning excessive phonecalls, now they keep on sending me the same letter stating that they have attempted to contact me regarding an urgent banking matter and that I should call them asap. The first time they phoned I explained to them the reason for the missed payment, the debt management company we are with has also contacted them and informed them that we are increasing our payments by 10% so we'll clear the arrears before years end. BOS claim that the dmc (Payplan) haven't contacted them, Payplan have said outright that BOS are liars. What should we do, as our recycling bin is getting full of BOS junk.:-?
  10. Right, cca request is in the post, let's see what happens.
  11. Payplan started administering our debts in May 2005, so I'd guess the JD williams account was taken out c.2002/03.
  12. Who do we make the postal order payable to JD Williams or Reliable Collections? I don't know if it is relevent but the agreement would have been taken out prior to 2006. This will be our first go at CCA'ing a creditor, so we don't want to make a balls up of it. Many thanks Gary
  13. The wife has an outstanding debt with JD Williams/Reliable collections that is being paid off through a debt management plan (Payplan). She received a Credit Account Statement from JD Williams/Reliable this morning which says she is being charged an APR of 39.9% on the balance, at this rate the debt will keep on increasing with no hope of ever paying it off. What should we do?
  14. At a guess I'd say it's because theirs staff are illiterate.
  15. Maybe I'm being cynical, but I don't think 5 posts out of a thread of 122+ really shows much willingness to answer questions.
  16. Mine too. Unfortunately he appears to have buggered off again.
  17. The reply will be that you should have arrived with adequate time to purchase your ticket. Unless the PFN has been incorrectly fillled in the only other excuse you can use is that the ticket office and quickfare machine were out of action.
  18. I think we've scared our friendly neighbourhood debt collector off.
  19. I've got a few questions for the OP; Why do dca's pass the debt from one subsidiary company to another? Why do dca's telephone you every sodding day, even though you have explained to them on the first call what the situation is, and that you will be increasing your monthly payments to cover the arrears? Why do dca's lie about receiving communication from debt management companies? Why do dca's refuse to deal directly with my appointed representative, thereby breaking OFT rule? I eagerly await your response.
  20. Thats Ok, can honestly say that address works. We even a call from Sky and when we rung CS back they had no idea who had called, all they knew was that it was a number from upon high.
  21. Hi try emailing this guy he is the CEO of sky, we had a problem we ordered HD, then had to cancel because the person couldn't put a credit of £9.75 to our sky account for the free month, got told no money would be taken, they did 4 days later. Rang CS, told refund issued after countless lies of being told it should be in on A,B,C days, we spoke to customer relations, who said refund had gone back, it hadn't they then had to re issue refund as they had mucked it up, so emailed him, 2 days later customer relations on phone saying refund should be back in the account on X day, i then went for Julie's bank charges because of them taking money, asked to send letter from bank stating how much, letter now sent and awaiting a call from Debbie Tant at Sky CR to let us know when bank charges will be refunded and now going for compensation as they brought Julie out in hives due to the stress. also got told by CR if they issue a refund the system they use won't allow the full amount to be refunded, so you may find if they do refund it's 2p short or so, or they will put it back to your sky bill, only problem with us is that I pay the sky bill and not Julie. So it would not be allowed as it would be going back to the wrong account. So try this Guy [email protected] Let us know if it works
  22. Only thing I can say is yes we have had problems with sky, but on a different thing. But have you tried contacting a memeber of CAG called IdaINFife, she maybe able to shed some light as she works for Sky.
  23. Southeastern Trains REO's are not subcontracted, they are employed directly by the company. Out of curiosity, which station were you at, and where were you standing when the REO's approached you?
