Keep going everyone. Just had my offer!!!!!

Thanks guys. I must admit, I'm surprised they got so close to the deadline, but there you go. Certainly not worth getting their hands dirty with a legal fight over such a paltry sum. However, the money will be well spent. A donation to the site and hopefully, the rest will go towards a patent for my invention. All I need now is for MBNA to cough up and I'll be well on my way. I have to say, 0justlooking - your little hahaha logo is the nuts!!!! -
Just wanted to let you all know to keep plugging away. I have just received a letter from the halifax this morning (the day before court action was to commence) that they are settling my £148.00. Only a small amount but it's very exciting. As soon as my cheque clears I'll be making my donation to the site. One down - one to go. Bring it on MBNA!!!!!!!

Umm, still having problems. Is it the normal DPA letter or is there something different for credit cards? -

thanks lou. I've lost the bloody library..... Has it disappeared, or am I being thick??? -
I have an Arsenal FC (Woo-hoo, Paris here we come) Mastercard which is issued by MBNA. About a year ago this business transferred from Bank of Scotland (halifax) group, to MBNA. Who do I send the DPA request to, or do I send it to both? Also, Do I send the same DPA letter to a credit card company that I sent for my current account statements - or is there another letter hidden away in the library that I may have missed? I've been all through the FAQs and I'm goin round in circles. I await your responses with antici..........pation.

yep. you're right. I could spend the money quite easily with two small kids. Another question though, hope i'm not being thick, Can you claim back the late payment fees from your credit cards as I've had plenty of them in the last 6 years? many thanks for your replies so far. xx -
I've had all my statements back from the Halifax and it appears the Halifax only charged me £148 in the last 6 years. Shame it doesn't go back ten years coz that's when I was really in trouble. Really not sure whether to continue with the claim, considering I'm already having a fight with Tiscali and British Gas (don't get me started) at the moment. Is it reasonably easy claiming from the halifax or am I just setting myself up for another time and energy consuming punch-up? What do you think?? HELP????
