i am sure royalties premier is 15 quid. Before that royalties gold was aout 11.
Look at your statements, and if you see a month where you should ot have any charges and there is one for this amount, then thats what yoou are looking for. Like i said, it is easier to identify because they are nearly always taken on the same day of the month.

depends what royalties scheme you are on (gold/ premier etc)
You should be able to tell from your statements how much it is as it will come off your statement on (or around) the same day each month.

Personally, I would combine the 2, reading that you will accepttheir offer as part payment, but that should they not settle in full within 14 days then you will file at court.
Thats kinda what I did.

Faxed/ emailed my conditional acceptance today. They have offered full amount on the understanding that "all future charges stand etc....etc".
Cant agree to that. So we'll see how quickly money is credited to my account. Nothing in today so far.......

Guess what - They're paying up.....WOOHOO :D :D
Who's the daddy?, Who's the daddy???!!!
Just got to sort out some of the smaller details (terms and conditions etc)
There was a letter waiting on the doormat from "Big Mac" (a very very nice man;) )
Needless to say, when all is done and dusted, the donation will be made.
Now who's next in the crosshairs?
-
you're right....you cant get the money back twice (although that would be lovely)

Stevo, you are quite right. If sending by royal mail, the recipient is legally deemed as having received the letter/ package when the post office takes it into their posession.

Sounds like a good plan. You are right enough about the interest, this is only added when filing a court claim.
Keep it off the spreadsheet for the moment (when I did mine, I "hid" the relevant columns then printed it off - easier to retrieve that way).
Get your letter of to Big Mac and see how quickly you get your "bugger off" letter. (I estimate about 8 days)
Have fun.

Sent the "partial settlement" letter and state that a claim has already been filed for the full amount.
Dont worry, you are right on track.

Got it in one, Daph!
Off with the LBA (I take it their letter goes on to say they they will not be paying out?)
j

Well Alison, did the postie bring you anything today? If not, are you going to give tommy a phone call/ email before filing?
J
-
Panic not, the claim value is ex- interest. In other words you will be ok under £5000 in small claims, although your payout may be more.

Simple.......tell them to ram it!
Actually, to be politically correct, send them the rejection of offer letter in the templates library ("accept as part payment only")and remind them of your original deadline for the LBA.
gerrintae them.

DT, youre right. If you have your statements, its prelim letter next.
j

good luck, I will be watching this with interest (pun intended)

Just waiting for the next letter from the "big MAC"
Any joy your side, Alison? I reckon he only has 2 working days to reply to me then its interest "et al". woohoo.
-
Youve got it right, and you can use the S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) from the library.
Just one small hint.......most banks have their own way of dealing with things. If you post your thread on the Abbey site, you will get a much better response and will be really well prepared for any bull they throw at you. (In fact, you will probably get to know what is dropping through your letterbox BEFORE it arrives.
Just one more thing....at Prelim/ LBA stage, remember not to claim the 8% interest (although if going after contractual rate the this should be included in the letters above).
Hope this is helpful.
ps, if your claim is for more than £1500, you would probably be better off going through English/ MCOL system (especially if you have a friend/ relative in england whose address you can use)

hahaha....how very dare you!!! I'm a repectable married woman:p :p Besides I don't really have a thing for purple dancing hippos! maybe if you were a pink singing elephant things would be different:lol:
Wxx
Thats the second time this week I've been told that!!! (the last time was by a good female friend). Ill need to watch or or I'll be getting called names!
The "dare you bit" - NOT the hippo/ elephant bit LOL:grin:
-
Jim, I got exactly the same letter as you 2 weeks ago (It was sent by Tommy McLean and pp'd by Ross McDonald - sound familiar? )
Anyway, after sending LBa, I got another letter last weekend offering approx 50% of my claim, which I have not accepted either.
Don't be fazed, just carry on as normal and get that LBA in the post. You will soon see some movement.

me too! I know how to stop a banker drowning.......take your foot off his head!
The only (non-monetary) compen you will get is the information commisioner sticking his boot up your bank's arris.
worth it for that alone:-)

Gerard. SSSHHHHH!!!!!!!
RBoS seem to have forgotten to take my £10 SAR fee.
I just happened to forget:rolleyes: mentioning it.
Well Alison, wont be long for you now........if I dont hear from Tommy by Monday latest, all I have to do is sign a form!
j

Report them to the information commissioner and copy the bank with the DPA non-compliance (template in the forum library). This should get things moving. At the end of the day, its good to know how much you are claiming for, so get writing!!!
