Due to an incompetent check-in girl our 4 cases were delayed by5 days on a 14 day holiday in Dominican Rep.At first Direct Holidays said the girl was employed by an agency but I did not accept this excuse & asked for £200 compensation.They sent £100 only so I issued a writ via the net & they then offered £200 plus court fee of £50. As the case was to be heard in my local court I rejected the offer & after 1 month they agreed to meet my claim in full eg.£400 plus fee.
  4. Issued writ reclaiming penalty charges which they stated they would defend.However 1 week later they sent cheque for £80 which incl Court fee saying this was not weakness on their part.
  5. A successful claim was made against LLOYDS for bank charges of £2000.The court said they were illegal but the claimant had to instruct bailiffs before he received compensation.
