I WON !!! msneddon vs Abbey
karencupit replied to msneddon's topic in Santander/Abbey and Cahoot successes
Well done!!! It's always good to hear of someone getting back what's rightfully theirs!! -
So should we actually start addressing our letters Dear Abbey?? Ooo, reminds me of a good song....was it Dead Kennedys or Lard?? lol

As I've been ill all week didn't actually get round to sending my LBA on Monday. Will post it this coming monday. I did get a surprise GOGW this morning, shAbbey offered to refund £210....my claim is for £565.... although only £90 has been credited to my account. I think they're just trying to confuse me (it is working!) as they previously told me a further £100 would be debited to my account for charges and this hasn't happend. Maybe it's just them that are confused!! I'll be accepting the £210 as PARTIAL payment and continuing with the claim for the rest. LBA due to be sent 13/11/0

Lorna V Abbey *** WON ***
karencupit replied to lorna501's topic in Santander/Abbey and Cahoot successes
Hi Lorna, Have a look round the templates library, I'm sure there's stuff posted there for what's required in a court bundle. I haven't actually got that far yet (will be sending my LBA next monday!) so can't give you any info. Good luck with it all! Karen -
Hi Rob, I didn't bother calculating the interest for my claim as I found it all too confusing. Sent my prelim letter just over a week ago, just asking for a refund of charges. I have absolutely no idea how any of this would affect your mortgage......what about opening a new account elsewhere and arranging for your mortgage to be paid from there??
-
You were being unreasonable?? Who are they kidding??? Good luck with your claim mate!

Hi Tai, The defence looks exactly like the one in Southerners thread.... "getting my knickers in a twist about going to court". Go take a look and it might help calm your nerves a little! Karen x

Got the letter from Mark (windy) Winder today....the usual stuff "sorry you have been so unhappy" etc. along with the complaints leaflet. In fact I got 2 copies of the letter and leaflet! shAbbey's 14 days are up on Monday (6th) so will no doubt be sending the LBA then.

Hi bennet, You seem to have 2 threads going, both with the same content. Ask someone if they can either merge them for you or how to delete one of them.

Hi Barry, I haven't had to send the data protection letter so not sure which one. Have a look at the step-by-step instructions...a link is usually attached to a moderators post....I found it really useful! Hope it helps! Karen x

Hi Shazbaz, If there is a possibility that you have incurred charges before then I'd send the data protection request letter. All letters are in library templates. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/ Also check out the step-by-step instructions. There of great help! http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/243-step-step-instructions.html Karen x

Hi, I've actually sent my prelim letter to the registered address of (sh)abbey: Abbey National PLC Abbey National House 2 Triton Square Regent's Place London NW1 3AN and am taking a copy into my local branch Monday just so they can't deny receipt. Good luck with your claim!

Prelim approach for payment letter sent 19/10/06. It should reach them by Monday

Hi Boop, It is 6 years, although I do believe there are one or two people trying for more. I think it's 6 years back from the date of your claim, although not 100% sure on this as I only started to incur charges just over 2 years ago. Have you read the FAQ's and checked out the templates library?? All the info is there. Karen x
