  3. Just to give you all a bit of encouragement I'll tell you that I got my money back last week. I found patience and regular referrals to this site helped me through. Thanks to all those who helped me. I'm now going to fill in the survey.
  4. The letter I received today ends with "If I don't hear from you in the next eight weeks then I will assume you are happy" Is he taking the p*ss?
  5. So, do I need to even acknowledge that they've offered me the 60 quid?
  6. Hi, I'm claiming £282 from the Halifax. I've got to the stage where I've filed a court claim against them. This morning they wrote and offered £60.00 "as a good will gesture". I want to hold out for the full amount, what should I do? Do I ring and accept the 60 and persue the remaining £222 through court? Do I reject the £60 outright? Any help would be great, cheers.
  7. I note that some of you have handed in your request letters to your local branch. I posted all my correspondence (1st class, recorded delivery) to Halifax, Trinity Road. I have received exactly no response from them. Will this affect my claim? I am now 3 days from filing court action, shouln't they have contacted me at least once?
  8. I wrote on the 13th March. Two weeks have passed and I've heard nothing! Is this normal?
  9. Well done! How long did it take from the initial letter through to resolution? Can you give a timeline to help others judge whether we're on track?
  10. OK, A quick straw poll to see which method is getting the best results for requesting past statements.
  11. Well Done! Can you give us a brief timeline of your claim. Many people seem to be waiting so it would be useful to have a guideline on how long things took for you.
