  2. I have recently issued a small claims summons aginst alliance and leicester, will look forward to their reply. Sum claimed £725. They ignored three previous letters requesting refund. Does anyone have any information as to0 whther a bank has ACTUALLY DEFENDED A SMALL CLAIMS ACTION AND IF SO WITH WHAT OUTCOME.
  3. Please go to the Govan law Centre web site for full info on debt, bank charges and other civil info in Scotland. They also list some nifo for England and Wales & North of ireland. The site is very very informative, and the guy there Mike Dailly really knows his stuff. A lot of information is on the site, such as how to challenge bank charges, what to do if they refuse to refund them, Mortgage Rights (Scotland) Act, what diligence is ineffectual. Etc or if resident in Scotland go to your local Citizens Advice bureau for money advice. The Govan law centre web site is : http://www.govanlc.com/ and he site for bank charges etc is: http://www.bankcharges.info/. Both sites are a welath of legal knowledge. There are template letters for challenging bank charges, small cliams info, jurisdiction act, detials of court fees and costs for samll cliams, Act of Sederunt 2002 etc Hope this helps people espcially against the banks and finance companies who have been ripping people for years. Banks dont talk economic sense or indeed any other osrt of sense.
