  1. Im a building site labourer and have been working on the same site doing the same roll since july 2011. Im working along side lads that are on the books and are on considerably higher wages than what i earn with statutory holiday pay Iv looked into the 12 weeks equal treatment regulations and asked both my job agency and site manager about them but both are ignoring me ! im upto at least 15 weeks now with no change of roll and christmas holidays dont count as a break in employment http://www.bis.gov.uk/assets/biscore/employment-matters/docs/a/11-949-agency-workers-regulations-guidance page 18 onwards How can i go about getting equal pay with out kicking up a fuss and ending up getting laid off for my troubles ? plenty of other lads willing to do my job and the agency could probably replace me the same day
  2. does any 1 know the particular enployment law thats been broken here ? the days wage im not that fussed about now but this companys done this to at least 4 other lads last week aswell.
  3. iv been paid by nwm at minimum wage . 3.91 hours at £5.93 when i was told the hourly rate was £6 an hour and i did 8 hours . yet coyles paid nwm £8 for 6 hours to get round the £7.75 minimum rate nwm can pay people at . so i then get stung with a £19 admin fee
  4. having spoken to them this afternoon . you are correct in saying they can't pay me unless im on £7.75 an hour . this is why they payed me £8 an hour for 6 hours . instead of the actual hours i worked . Then it costs me £19 for the plesure of getting paid instead of £12 Is this legal ? As im speaking with the manager of the agency tommoro to complain about the way i was spoken to by some one that couldnt be bothered to listen , said its not my problem and told me i was stupid for not going paye then hanging up on me . I WOULDNT RECOMEND ANY ONE USING THIS JOB AGENCY .
  5. recently iv done a days work for coyles recruitment link removed labouring on a building site for a measly £6 an hour . the job was very hard work and involved carrying 60 3 meter plaster boards up 4 flights of stairs . Now heres my problem . After ringing coyles agency several times to find out why I hadnt been paid . I was told i needed to register with NWM umbrella .link removed a 3rd party payment company . I sent off all my bank details and signed the paper work (iv still got a copy of this) heres all the figures on the wage slip i was sent. nwm umbrella income gross received 8 hours at £6 £48 deductions nwn proffit margins £19 insurance £3 holiday pay £2.80 NET Income £48 less deductions £24.80 GROSS PAYABLE . £23.20 PAYSLIP hours 3.91 @ rate £ 5.93 total £23.20 deductions tax 0.00 NI 0.00 AOE 0.00 Other deductions £6.95 personal accident ins £1.95 total £8.90 NET PAY gross pay £23.20 less deductions £8.90 NET PAYABLE £14.30 am i rite in thinking that what they have done is taken £19 for processing my wages ? as theres nothing in any of the paperwork i signed to say that they can . Then taken £3 for insurance i never asked or signed for. then payed me 3.91 hours at minimum wage for an 8 hour shift at £6. then had the cheek to have another 6.95 for other deductions im compleatly unaware of and some more insurance thats a bit long winded and the payslips very confusing . but after all the deductions iv ended up with 14.30 for a full days hard labour . less the diesel i spent to drive a 30 mile round trip to get there .
  6. basicly my hours are 8am - 4.30pm and they have been for the 18 months i worked there iv found out from a girl i chat to in the offices at work that on friday my employer is planing on changing my hours as of next monday to 7am - 5pm is this legal ? surely they have to give me some notice ?
  7. 14,000 victims of child benefit discs fiasco sign up to website that 'could win them £300' | the Daily Mail Has any one got any more information on this matter ? £5.99 Seems a bit steep for information that should be availiable to every 1 for free. In my opinion anyway
  8. yes I wouldnt know where to start making up sticky labels and sutch tho
  9. Its all well and good setting up a stall .But i work for a living and simply don't have the time to do something like that . I do how ever visit my local branch often and it wouldnt take mutch effort for me to put a poster up Im all for spreding the word about getting your bank charges back as this site helped me get £995 back off hsbc .
  10. no but its hardly criminal damage bluetacking a piece of paper to a glass window
  11. Would some one please be kind enough to design an a4 size poster that I could download to put up in my local hsbc bank. Some thing that would grab your attention and has all the relevent contact information on for this site . Id try to do one myself but I'm not the best with computers to say the least . john
  12. Claiming the charges back isnt the main issue here. What i want is for hsbc to realise i know there charge is unlawful in the first place and to stop charging me. Ive no loans or overdraft yet they see fit to charge me £41 for been £20 over drawn. Isn't the amount they can legaly charge me £12.50 for admin fees ?
  13. Iv'e phoned hsbc to try and get my charges taken off saying "im well aware there illegal charges" . But the Indian chap on the other end of the phone didnt have the slightest clue what i was on about. is there any templates for a letter asking for my charges to be reversed as im well aware of the law and have all ready made a sucessful claim against them thanks john
  14. save your self a load of time and hassel by using hsbc's online banking u can find all your old statements on there without waiting a month for the statements to turn up i sent all the letters to my local branch when i claimed my charges back http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/31052-contact-details-banks.html?garpg=11
