  1. Hi, You will be better waiting until you have all the documents you have requested under the DPA. They should reveal the actual amount borrowed along with the full cost of the PPI. When you have all the info I will gladly assist with the next step.. Good Luck Ian
  2. Nice letter Hellhasnofury 9.75 out of 10....lol Ian
  3. It would be up to them to provide documented evidence that you requested PPI, though even if they supply that evidence it in no way proves that the PPI was not Mis Sold Ian
  4. Me Rude ....NEVER...well maybe sometimes... LLF = Laugh Like France Replace France with a word begging with the same letter, Clue it ends in a K.. Better stop there before I get Detention on CAG..lol Ian
  5. Hiya Itsme, Just like Hellhasnofury I was thinking about you the other night too, Glad to see things are moving on for you. Yeah I did sort of go Missing for a few weeks..lol Longish story but Im back now and still fighting..Well December will be here soon, so hopefully get GE sorted out. I will take up your offer too and will PM email addy (you should have it already..lol , but will PM it again) Take Care and Good Luck Ian x
  6. Hi Andy, Depending on when your loan was taken out with Lloyds TSB, there should be a full breakdown on the loan agreement for the PPI, It should state the charge for PPI and also the Interest (sometimes called charge for credit) to be paid for the PPI part alone. Initially when I claimed for my PPI they stated the same as what they have to you , that they would only pay any refund back into the loan account.. I fought that and they paid the refund back into my current account, So if they insist that they cannot pay yours back to your current account, let me know and I will mail you further Info. Be careful what you post regarding your claim and Lloyds in the open forums as it is a known fact that Lloyds monitor postings on the site. Good Luck Ian
  7. Hi Ali, Nope still no Joy, Just the usual from GE Money and Evershed.. Maybe one day though Either GE Money or Eversheds will do 1 simple thing...and they may even send the reply to the proper address, As they seem to have the habit of sending copies to the wrong court..lol ( bet Amy is going to be doing some checking now.. ) Answer the Questions that I have asked them... Oh and please dont answer my questions with a question... If not Im sure I will look forward to hearing all your answers in Court in December... Ian
  8. Hi, They seem to have supplied you with all you need to hang them out to dry.. Clearly states PPI Declined yet they have deducted £1200 for PPI.. I would do as Robertx suggests, go back to them demand and explanation along with your £1200 plus Interest.. and complain to the FOS and the FSA Ian
  9. Hiya, Just a wee note, If you start Legal proceedings the FOS will be unable to investigate your complaint due to you taking legal action. I would hold off Court proceedings until FOS give you a decision, If the outcome of the FOS investigation is not what you want then you can go the court route.. Well the FOS should be a bit quieter just now with the hold on Bank Charges..lol Ian
  10. Sounds like a Travel Inn..lol , Now a dungeon and whips ..mmm  Ian
  11. Hi Fred, Sorry for the dealy in responding, Long story..lol But Im back in Action again.. Re the querie of Total Credit or Total charge for Credit, I think they will squirm out of that one, If the Premium is variable against the balance there would be no actual way of pre calculating the actual cost of your PPI. Have you asked them to supply a copy of the Terms and Conditions relating to the Actual PPI policy, Being an Insurance policy it would have be underwritten by some Insurance Company, you may have to try and find out the name of the insurance company and try and get the info from them. Good Luck Ian
  12. Hello Lana And before you say anything Hellhasnofury..lol I have not left the planet, I have been tied up with other things, eg My fight with GE..lol. ( I will Pm some stuff later Sandbro..) Right onto Firstplus.. To be honest when I submitted my SAR to them , they were prety quick to supply all the Information, and even provided evidence for me that GE had tried to obtain Information regarding my account, Tut Tut GE...But that matter is in Hand. Strangely though when I again wrote to Firstplus to confirm some Information relating to GE Money they seemed to totally shy away from any positive answers (something I will follow up very soon). Now this I found a bit strange to be honest, But perhaps they have got wind of the PPI claims that are going to be hitting their complaints department ?. I have had a couple of set to's with Firstplus so if you need contact names etc PM me and I will provide you with the Info. As an Example of PPI rebates, I dont know why they call them rebates though..lol, When I cleared my loan the rebate on the PPI was a whopping £86 odds .. Not bad for a product I was charged £3388.00 (plus interest of 7.9% APR over the 15 year term of the loan), it only ran for 30 Months of the 5 year term. Good Luck Ian
  13. Here Here Gem, Does sound a bit like Scream121 may have something to hide, After all there are a lot of spies hanging about this forum. I would suggest that before approaching any finance company in relation to PPi mis-selling, that everyone checks all their paperwork thoroughly before wasting money on postage. Now that line looks all too familuar too.. Ian
  14. Hiya Itsme, Glad to see you still sticking it out like myself..lol Its been a long hard struggle so far.. But we will get there in the end.. Ian x
  15. Well done Gooders, Once they pay that bit up are you going to go after them for wasted costs..? Ian
  16. *** NOTICE *** There are Spies in The Camp ****** Well Surprise Surprise My suspicions have yet again been proved Correct... GE Money are Monitoring CAG.. That is a Known FACT... :p Anyone requiring Details / Information regarding Problems with GE Money please PM me. I will only reply by PM or to secure Email Addresses. I hope GE Have read the terms and conditions of CAG before entering the website... Just in case.. Entry by Banks and their staff is prohibited. Banks will be allowed to enter the forum so long as they have permission from the Administrators. Ignoring this rule is, in our opinion, a breach of the Computer Misuse Act 1990 - Section 1b. Computer misuse offences Unauthorised access to computer material. 1.—(1) A person is guilty of an offence if— (a) he causes a computer to perform any function with intent to secure access to any program or data held in any computer; (b) the access he intends to secure is unauthorised; and © he knows at the time when he causes the computer to perform the function that that is the case. (3) A person guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale or to both. This matter Has now been confirmed as being under investigation by CAG Moderator and Admin, Ian.
  17. You are right there, something doesn't seem right. sounds a bit like they have ripped you off by clearing your original loan and giving you one at a higher interest rate and added PPI, Bet someone had a nice wee bonus for that One. Which Bank was it with ? Ian
  18. Hi Mathews MUM, I got your PM thanks, your case is similar to mine and I have sent you a rather large PM with some info..lol As for me, Have subbmitted my Document list to court today (due 20th) and also sent GE Solicitors Document / Disclosure list that they have to supply by the 17th August.. Lets see if they do, or what excuses they come up with. Ian
  19. Hiya Hell and DavesGran, As you know Hell for legal reasons I cannot say too much about Lloyds..lol, But a bit of Advise Keep going DavesGran.. you will get them to cough up. If you need any contact info etc for Lloyds PM me.. Ian
  20. Hiya Its Me, What can I say ... I know how it feels to have a kicking from the court, It all comes down to the particular Judge, I thought I had fought my corner to get my case allocated to Small Claims..Turned out I was wrong and the Judge went with GE's Fast Track route, And given a court hearing date sometime between 2nd and 22nd December, Oh well maybe get some christmas shopping when Im down..lol. I know you must have felt a bit like I did..In fact felt I Bloody awful, I took couple of days out from here and had a good think of what to do next. Well Im here again and still fighting, Someone has to stand up to these Companies that simply think with their bullying and scare tactics we will all just go away and let them continue to rip consumers off, Sorry but I have been ripped off to many times to let this go on any longer.. An i am continuing to raise this rip off market as much as I can with the Press etc. I know you will be having doubts about going on.. Well just remember that there are a lot of people on here behind you with support and indeed comfort if you need it. Take Care Ian
  21. Hi Matt, Maybe a bit confussing, the system was a Tie Clip Mic System which also Included a Headset Microphone, 2 Microphones and 1 Transmitter. I never accepted the Item, It was originally ordered online as my Nearest Maplin store is an Hour and a Half drive from Dundee, As the Item was needed quickly it was arranged that I collected one from the Aberdeen Store who had 2 of these in stock, rather than wait until the came back in stock at the warehouse. As for being out of stock , I was not advised it was out of stock until after the order had been placed, The fact that I had to wait was not a real problem until we got a last minute function on Sunday. Ian
  22. Good Luck for Monday Maria.. I have sent you PM too, If you need Help Support you know where I am Ian x

  24. Customer Services Manager Maplin Electronics Ltd Valley Road Wombwell Barnsley S73 0BS COMPLAINT I am writing to you to complain about recent service I have received from your company. I Placed an order for one off Pro Sound L60AW Tie Clip Radio Mic system online on 29/06/07, It was not clear until I received my order acknowledgement Email that in fact this Item was out of stock and that would not be available for around 28 Days. I Contacted your Aberdeen Branch ( Your Closest Branch to Dundee) on Friday 6Th July to check if they had this item in stock. They Informed me that they had 2 of these in stock I contact your Customer services department on 0870 429 6000 the same afternoon to see if it was possible for me to collect one of these Items from the Aberdeen Branch as I required it for a Function on Sunday 8th July. Your Customer advisor advised me that this would not be a problem and told me when I arrived at the store to collect the item to ask the store to contact Customer Services and they would issue a credit to the Aberdeen store and I would be able to take the Item away with me. This sounded a reasonable solution to me. Since my requirement to obtain the item had changed since I initially placed the order with the late booking of a wedding function which I required the Additional Tie Clip Radio Mic for the Minister to use so that the full service could be clearly heard and recorded. When I arrived at your Aberdeen Store I spoke to Ewan regarding what I had discussed with Customer Services, Ewan then went off to discuss this with the store Manager, and when he returned stated that he would contact Customer Services. After some time of Ewan trying to find a telephone number for Customer Services I gave him the Number from the rear of my Order Advice Note. When Ewan contacted Customer Services he was told that nothing could be done regarding any credit until Monday. Ewan then asked me to call back at the store on Monday. I of course told him that this defeated the whole Purpose of me making the 3 hour round trip Journey from Dundee to collect the item. Ewan then told me there was nothing else he could do to rectify the situation. I then contacted Customer Services myself regarding this and was even more annoyed when I was told that the actual order had been cancelled, but there was no record on the account as to which customer service advisor had cancelled the order. I was then again told that the Credit would not drop (whatever that means) until Monday and there was nothing Customer Services could do about it. I asked for confirmation that the credit was being paid back to my credit card and was told yes, that was what would happen on Monday. I then thought at least we have a solution now, and I then went back into the store and went to Purchase the item. Again it was Ewan that I dealt with, I initially checked as soon as I arrived in store that they did in fact have 2 of these items, an assistant checked the computer and confirmed that there were 2 showing as being in stock When Ewan went to get the item from the store he returned and said he could not find them and that the only one they had must be the one on display and he would find the box etc for it ( I may add that this took around 20 Minutes in total). When he eventually returned with the Box I noticed that it was not a Pro Sound item but a system made by Chiayo (Model R-1001) a manufacturer that I have never heard of. The Receiver unit looked nothing like the Pro Sound L59AW system receiver unit that i had previously Purchased from your Aberdeen Store some months ago. Also when checking the contents of the box there was no Headset Microphone in the pack, Ewan then told me the item only came with the Tie Clip Microphone.[/font] The Specification for this Item clearly states the following :-, Tie-Clip Radio Microphone System (L60AW) Manufacturer: ProSound High quality VHF radio microphone system ideal for anyone wanting to create a wireless set up Ideal for schools, small clubs, pubs etc Crystal-clear sound transmission Supplied with belt pack transmitter, tie-clip microphone, headset microphone XLR mic lead, receiver, &quarter;inch jack connecting lead and plug in mains power supply Low battery consumption License-free Operates on 174.1MHz Both microphones run on PP3 9V batteries (sold separately) The kit transmits on 173.80MHz and 175.00MHz which means it may be used in conjunction with both the L58AW handheld radio mic kit and L59AW twin handheld radio mic kit with all four mics running simultaneously. Note: This radio mic system is not compatible with any other radio mic system, even if it operates on the same frequency As you may understand I was not at all impressed with Maplins at this point. As a Chiavo R-1001 is not a ProSound L59AW Tie Clip mic system and also did not contain the headset Mic as advertised ,nor ordered the following will apply. Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 traders must sell goods that are as described and of satisfactory quality. Clearly the above item does not match the description. 13. Sale by description Where there is a contract for the sale of goods by description, there is an implied term that the goods will correspond with the description. This is a matter I will be taking up with my Local Trading Standards at the earliest opportunity. As I have been a long term Customer of Maplins I feel that on this occasion your company have let me down badly with Poor Customer Service, Untrue product description and a lot of my time and expense. I look forward to your Prompt response to my complaint, which may in some way help to restore my faith and custom with Maplins as a company. With today’s experience I can assure that I have lost all faith in your company. Ian Reid
