Hi There, Does anyone have any experience of the financial ombudsman service? I have got to the point of having to raise a court claim however i am struggling to get together the £120. I have looked into the fee remission and all that stuff but they say i can not claim. Basically i earn a good wage, i just have a lot of debt and a very tight budget! I will probably have to wait until after christmas to raise the claim. However in the mean time i have filed a complaint with the financial ombudsman, they have acknowledged the complaint and are looking into it. Just wondered if anyone else had taken this route? Thanks

Well done....that is great news. I might have a go at writing to the FOS, I see on thier website you can download a complaints form. I am attempting to claim £3250 and I am struggling to get the £120 court fee together until next month so I guess there is no harm in trying this route!

Hi all, Thanks to the information on this website I have started off a claim against LLoyds for £3215. I was able to get a schedule of all my charges from the internet banking site which took me about 20 minutes! I have sent the prelim letter and letter before action and got back the standard Lloyds replies, I now have the court forms and will be taking them to my local county court tomorrow. I am slightly nervous as the £120 charge is quite a lot for me but having read all the other cases on here I am hoping it will be worthwhile. One quick question, should I attach my schedule of charges and copies of the letters I have already sent to the court form? Many Thanks
