  2. No, the contractual interest could have been added on at the start, but its not the end of the world that you didnt. If it were me I would forget about this as it will just confuse things at this point. Stick to the 8% interest and you wont go far wrong!
  3. Against a credit card you can claim their rate of interest that they have charged you on the charges as part of the intial claim. The 8% is what you charge them for keeping your money, over and above any interest that you have paid and wish to get back. Does that make sense!? So they have charged you say £30 100 days ago and their interest rate is 29% apr, they have effectively taken £2.38 off you in interest, and this is then claimable at the first instance. Your total claim is £32.38. Then at the mcol stage, you add 8% for keeping your money. As it is a bit hard working out the 8% for the interest they have taken off you (the interest wasnt all lumped on on the first day) then I would just do 8% of the initial £30 charge.
  4. Hi there, Has anyone here claimed against HSBC Credit Card whilst still having an overdraft on their current account. What do they do if you puruse them for repayment on the CC, do they get funny about the OD? Thanks, JJ

Yeah you do because otherwsie, you cant get the interest! If you want to get interest off them for the charged amount, you must tick it, or the money is theirs.
  6. Thanks for that interesting stuff. Look forward to seeing some templates of your letters! I have seen the DPA s.10 letter on here, is your a variation on that theme? Can that letter be used to request that payment m,arkers are removed?
  7. Thay paid up, after 15 days. Thanks for the comments!
  8. Hi, Can you tell me what letters you sent to them to have the late payment markers removed. This is exactly what my partner needs, as there are late payment markers but no default/ccj against her. Your help would be much appreciated! Jack
  9. A quick question, how long should one give the bank/financial institution after judgement being issued until one pursues them for the amount awarded? Judgement was issued on 11th October and I have heard nothing from the institution in question.
  10. The message here is anyone with Littlewoods charges, contest them and they will come back to you!
  11. Gift vouchers in my book are a con, as they havent paid you anything out of their own pocket, they are essentially, in real terms, paying you nothing. I have found that it is possible to get the charges back from a catalogue, albeit the long way!
  12. Judgement was issued to Littlewoods yesterday. Now they actually legally owe ME money, what a nice idea!!
  13. My claim is progressing well...
