  1. Hi There I have done various claims for friends, family and of course myself! one of these claims is with barclays... it was started at the start of the year and after the 1st letter we got an offer letter of £500. I politely decdlined this offer stating that I was aware of other cases where they have paid out in full. The person who I am doing this claim for now wants the £500, and I have written to barclays accepting their 1st offer but they replied saying that as 6 weeks have past the offer is considered declined and the are refusing to payout. (they did not mention my letter declining the offer) I am aware of a paragraph in the test case ruling saying anyone in possesion of an offer letter must still have the offer honoured. Would this still apply in this case? Is there anythnig I can do to get this money? many thanks
  2. hi there no, there was actually no court proceedings issued.. HSBC actually suprised us with an offer of £1500 on an £1700 claim! didnt think it worth the hassle for the extra £200 kind regards
