  1. I will also add that the exit is the same place as the entrance and it is the only entrance and exit points in this car park for vehicles.
  2. Here is a aerial view of the area I have marked where the sign that I saw and the entrance and exit I used with a X the area marked Y are the position that the council say the signs were placed at, which is past the entrance of the car park I used, please see the second picture that I provided in the set of three you cannot see the signs, also the carpark they are claiming was free on that day is their staff car park and not one that is used on a daily basis for general public pay and display.
  3. Firstly thank you for your reply regarding the NTO, I only received it last week! Photos are attached. The night time photos are mine the daylight photo is the evidence the council provided me telling me there was signs, as you can see from the middle photo there is no change of seeing these signs if traffic is on the highway.
  4. Hi there, back in December I was on my way out to my works Christmas party, it was a busy evening and I struggled to find a parking place close to the venue I ended up looking for a place in the local authority car park. I noticed a sign with a big arrow pointing to a car park advertising free parking as it was classed as a Christmas shopping day, so I parked my car and exited the car park via a pedestrian exit the opposite end to where I parked my vehicle, as I left the car park I noticed another car with a parking fine on the window which made me wondering why it would receive a ticket on a free day, so as I exited I took a few steps back towards the entrance to photograph the sign advertising free parking. On my return from the party I also had a ticket on my car, I appealed it and said that it was advertised as free parking and enclosed the photograph. I had a quick response saying that the council would be rejecting my appeal as there was additional signs advising the free parking was not in the car park that I used but in their staff car park, they also provided another photo of the additional signs placed on half on and half off the pavement, their photo was taken in day light with no traffic on the roads, when I parked it was busy and dark and the position of their signs were easily obstructed by vehicles entering and exiting the car parks which I have proved in another photograph taken at night approx the same time I parked. Now this is the strange bit the photo the council has provided I believe is an old photo as the shrubs in the photograph I took seemed to be a lot bigger, now bearing in mind I took mine at night today I went back and I am positive that my first thoughts are correct. I have written out my reply to the notice to owner asking for them to supply me with the details of the photograph they have supplied and have also said that their photo does not represent the time and road conditions at the time of my parking, can anyone give me more of an idea of how to fight this as it seems very unfair if they are using old evidence to make a case against me. Thank you in advance
  5. Thanks for the replays it turned up the next day, now to complete it, but can't seem to find any template letters
  6. Hi I received a parking ticket mid December because I parked in a council car park with out a ticket. The reason why I parked without a ticket was there was signs on the road saying free parking today it was a free day of parking due to Christmas shopping. (I have photographic evidence of the sign advising this) I appealed the charge and sent the council a copy of my photo of the sign, they rejected this and said I have to wait for a notice to owner letter to come out before I can appeal which could take up to 28 days, (this is now nearly three weeks over the 28 days period). My question is do I contact the council again and say I have not received the notice or keep quiet, I am just worried they will take it further and say I have not replied to them.
  7. No problem and thank you so much, I will give it a try again tomorrow, sorry to hear about your stroke I wish you a speedy recovery xx

  10. I hope this is in the correct section, I am posting for a friend who is currently going through a divorce. Ok my friends husband had an affair and has moved out of the family home and into a home with new GF, leaving my friend in the property along with his 2 children who are both over 20. He has been paying 50% of the mortgage along with 50% of the loans they had taken up to renovate the property which included building an extension and although the main part of this work had been completed it had not been finished when he walked away to his new life. My friend has since finished works required at her expense and has been covering all the utility bills etc. The divorce has been going through but the husband has not agreed to anything won't sign or produce all of his financial stuff ie pensions etc, three months ago with out any notice he stopped paying his share of the loans and the mortgage which you can imagine leaving my friend in quite a financial mess, thankfully family are stepping in and making payments but she is sure that the missed payments have already impacted her credit score and she will need to purchase a new property with a mortgage this needs to be good. The house was put on the market and he was informed by the solicitor again this was letter was ignored but the day of the open house he was straight into the estate agents wanting to know what was happening and complaining it was his house and he needed to be kept informed. There were several offers and the house has sold, but he won't sign any of the paperwork!! My friend has a court date in March but he has now ill and could be in hospital, so she is now thinking the court case will be cancelled due to his health, the problem is she can't afford to continue to live there and is getting into more debt due to him not signing anything etc, can anyone please make a suggestion of what she can do.

  13. Hi Groovycaz, sorry to hear about your problems again. If it was me I think I would be keeping Sam home and making some phone calls:- 1. SEN at your local council, advise them that Sam is not getting the level of support he needs and explain your problems to them, also if you are going to advise that Sam is not in school because his needs are not being meet. 2. Contact the SENCO at his previous school and ask what transition plans they had put in place!!! it is part of their job to ensure this moves goes smoothly. 3. Write to the governing body for the new school, there should be a governor who is there for SEN children. Keep us posted how you get on
  14. Have you received anything in writing confirming the exclusion? and if so what reason did they put on the letter
  15. lindsay I am doing some exclusion training tomorrow I will hopefully have more of an idea of what's legal tomorrow, have they given you a reason why he has received another 5 day exclusion? Also what happened about moving school's?
  16. fantastic news Groovycaz, it has taken you a long time but I am sure you now feel the hard work was worth it.
  17. Thanks for the prompt reply bookie I don't have any proof that I was told I had to have the PPI to be honest, however we never opt in for any additional policy's for extended warranty's ppi's etc as from expereience they are never worth the money and if you do have to make a claim then generally the company concerned always find a reason why the policy does not cover the reason why your claiming, I would have not taken out this through choice. I have decided now that I am going to pay the loan back in full, even though it's not in my name and although the bank have said they are happy for it to continue as per the original agreement as we have never missed a payment and we are good customers, financially it will be a better option as I will be better off each month. Once the loan is settled then I will have a look at the fos and take it from there, although that may lead to another problem if I manage to get a refund on the PPI, as I have personally been paying for the loan will the money have to go into the business account which is now longer trading? or have any accounts open. There is also no debt from the business either so they can't say the money can go against debt as there is none. So basicall will I get the money personally?
  18. thank you. Update, I have managed to speak with the bank manger now and all is ok, she was not aware of the situation even though the letter had her name on it standard letter that goes out, she has now put it all back to how it was, but I still have the question about ppi. Any one with suggestions then please post
  19. Ok here goes, Myself and hubby had our own business LTD company, in 2004 we move into new premises and took out a loan with Barclays for £10k. Summary of loan from offer:- Amount of loan £12286.22 which includes An arrangement fee of £100 A single premium for life, accident and sickness insurance of £2186.22. The loan will be 96 monthly payments of £191.77 covering the principal and interest and commencing 1 month from countdown. Here is where it gets complicated, The business is no longer trading, I spoke with Barclays manager and she arranged very kindly for the payments to be made directly from my personal account, to date I think I have made approx 47 payments never missed one. Today in the post I get a letter from Barclays asking for the full amount of the loan to be re-paid. Principal sum due £7609.33 Interest £38.27 Total outstanding £7647.60. Obviously I am totally confused as to why they want the loan setteled, I did last October request for a settlement amount thinking that I may consolidate and get a cheaper rate the re-payment then was £7736.78, since then I have made £1342.39 in payments which they have only accounted for £57.66 of this. My business manager has yet to return my call and explain what's going on, this months May's payment has been returned into my account and I can no longer see the loan account in my on-line banking. Does anyone think I may have a chance of claiming? I would not have requested ppi at the time of the loan as in my opion as with most insurances not worth it. Need some advice guy's please
  20. I think you need to change the RK address immediately I am sure that you could get a fine for not doing this but don't quote me on that. Regarding the sorn do it now on line, our classic was declared sorn but until I read this post I never knew it had to be done every year, we have just completed the paperwork on line and got confirmation from DVLA it's now SORN again and thankfully no fine.
  21. thank you so much I get hubby on to it later
  22. Do you have to keep renewing? We have a car that's been sat in the garage for a few years and will be for a few more, we filled out a sorn form when we got the car, but I am sure we have not had any reminders should I be worried? Sorry to hijack your thread but you have me worried now

  24. Give your local council a call and find out the name of the head of the governors within governors services, this person will be employeed by the council and is responsible for all school governors, send a copy of the letter to them explaining your concerns and asking why are your letters being ignored?
