  1. looking for a bit of advice before making call to V12 and where i stand with this, this time last year i took quite unwell, i contacted v12 around April 2019 to explain my circumstances and if anything they could do, they informed me they would refund all the charges on my account, would suspend for a few months, but this would also involve a mark on my credit rating, recently i have been getting calls from them, letter telling me not to ignore this, and letters of action, also an email the other day from someone saying they have tried to contact me by several means and they were putting any further action on hold for 15 days before taking any further action in order for me to contact them, also receiving statements from them regarding my account with them, checking my bank account again to notice no DD were stopped and every one paid up to today, last one was last week, then checking there statements and no refunds were made either, i had also started a complaint with them as goods were faulty and repairs not been met, which they have rejected also, so will be writing to the fos any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks
  2. hi folks need some advice with problems i am having with samsung, i have an american fridge freezer costing over £1600 that came with a 5 year manufacture warranty from date of purchase, it is now just over a year and half old and broke down both fridge and freezer stopped cooling, all food wasted, this was purchased through AO.COM on the invoice it states it has a 5 year warranty, also in the pack it came with a card for registering it for the inverter for 10 years and has sticker on the door saying this, at the time i took ill and did not register it for the 10 years, however i was under the impression the 5 year manufacturers warranty was in place, on phoning samsung they inform me that the warranty does not apply, even though they have the purchase date from AO.COM and the purchase is on their system, it developed a fault when it was 4 months old and when i phoned samsung they had all the details, but are now telling me its not covered by the 5 year warranty, and that the manager will allow a one of repair but any other problems will have to be paid for, i have looked up samsung T&C and this is what it says GENERAL The warranty card and warranty information included with the product provides details of the warranty for the product and the associated terms and conditions. The information included with the product may provide a specific website address for the warranty information, in which case the warranty for the product is as stated at that website address. The warranty periods and warranty services referred to above are intended as a guide only and variations may occur. If there are differences between the warranty card and information included with the product and the information shown above, the warranty card and information included with the product shall apply. The warranty periods apply from the first date of purchase of the product. To obtain warranty service, the original proof of purchase will be required and the serial number affixed to the product must be complete and undamaged. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty may not apply to consumable items included with or in the product, which may have a reduced or no warranty period. The warranty card and warranty information included with the product will state specific exclusions to the warranty (e.g. where a defect is caused by misuse or unauthorised repair of the product) which must be checked before requesting service under the warranty.   4. do you know by any chance where i can find the relevant legislation on business lease, i have scrolled the internet and all i can seem to find is for residential, or i few paragraphs on a solicitors page, was at the CAB today and only found a section that talks about it briefly, away to have another look anyway, CAB have given me other ideas to search for it, so hopefully find something on it
  5. just an update, the judge has replied back with a date for the 28th for a mediation meeting before he decides if it goes to court or not, i was in seen a solicitor the other day, that was not really that helpful, and a case they would be unlikely to assist in, the only thing i left with really, was what she has done is committed a criminal act, breaking the law when giving no notice, changing locks, never said anything about what i should do, do i report this to the police, she said nothing about the slander, false accusations, definition of character, sent in messages and also listed on the court papers, the judge did also suggest we speak to each other before the date, to see if we can sort it out between us
  6. just an update, and some advice as to what i should do, i have now had a letter from the simple procedure for claims under 5k. what concerns me is that she has told lie after lie, most of which i can prove, by her own words, in previous messenger messages she has sent me, but my concerns now are all the lies, the false allegations, which she has included on the procedure papers, she has accused me of breaking in, and even how i am supposed to have gone about this, which i know is complete bull, bearing in mind there is 2 houses on the site of the kennels and quite a lot of dogs that would have the place in uproar at any sounds heard, slander, definition of character, harassment, even sending people down to use the shop when we were not there, i am also accused of stealing items of hers, again all fabrication, i can post copy of all her messages and the procedure letter, and you can see that overtime she messages its a different story from the last message, and the same with the procedure papers she has sent me, should i phone the police, with regards to her false accusations, just not sure what steps i should be taking
  7. hi folks need some advice, purchased a new tv back in october 02 last year, receiving on the 8th, that i received damaged, one of the cdmi fittings was not secure to the unit, this was not noticed until a month later, when i went to connect another unit to the tv, i emailed ao about this, but never received any reply back, with holidays coming up i forgot about this, and phoned them, as now a few months had passed they said they would not be able to accept it back as being damaged before i got it, which is fair enough, said they would get in touch with their repair centre, again i never got any contact back, and again i forgot about it, recently, where i called them back, they informed me that they could no longer do anything about it as the year has passed, this was the 13th oct, told me to phone lg directly myself, which i did, as their customer services was to busy the girl i spoke to took my number, said someone would call back when the lines were not as busy that day, needless to say i never got that call until about 10 days later, they said they would look into this, and get back in touch, got another message left asking for the purchase date, which is on the invoice that ao sent them, and would look into see if they could do anything about it, am just off the phone to them where they have said, as the purchase date was the 2nd oct 2016, i never got it until the 8th oct 2016 the warranty is now a month and a half expired, and they cannot do anything about it as the warranty is now expired, and thing i can do with this thank you
  8. hi folks, looking for some advice, 1.5 ago myself and friend took on a lease for a shop on a site of a boarding kennels, we opened as dog groomers, the problem we have, the owner could not understand she was renting us the shop, but would come down and use the shop, send others down to use, never cleaned it, put a lot of pressure on my friend who has now had a bit of a meltdown with what all has being going on The shop was very grubby, which she had painted white, not a great paint job may i add, but at least it was clean,shop has struggled a bit, so to cheer ourselves up make the shop look great and hopefully a fresh look and better appeal, few months back we repainted the shop, making it bright and more modern looking, well did she not kick off, went off her head saying how dark it is, was done in cream white and luscious lime lol, moaning she could not see a thing she was doing, and that all groomers shops should be white to capture light. I pointed out it did not state in the lease i could not paint the shop, and that it was not done for her benefit, but ours and that of customers, and that when we would give notice in the shop, which is a month it would be returned back to how we got it, no structural changes were made, and customers who had seen it before were amazed at the difference and how great the shop looked. well since then she has hardly spoke to me, which is no loss to me really, but has pressured my friend so much she has had a meltdown with it all, and cannot face going back their to work again. She worked in the shop and i worked in the mobile unit we have also, she was off sick for a couple of weeks before i really caught up with her and found out what was going on, in this meantime, i was getting messages off her asking why the shop is not covered, saying we owed rent, which we did, was only a couple weeks behind, and not the 4 she was claiming it to be, i informed her last week that my friend was off sick, and that i would be seeing her this tue, to find out how she was, i had actually seen her during the week when she told me she could not face going back and that she has had a melt down over it. So i left it to the tue before i would say anything to them, thought i would give my friend the weekend to think about it, before having to make rash decisions and give our notice, so on the tue i went to the kennels to tell the manager first about her meltdown, to give our notice, and that i would get the shop painted back to how we got it, where i was their informed that the owner has keeps using the shop, ordered him to change the locks, and remove our sign I then got another message off her saying the rent is behind, the deposit has never being paid, and that i owe her 1300, which is including the 4 weeks notice to quit and the deposit and back rent, the deposit was agreed to be paid up before all of this happened, but under Scottish law does she not also have to give me 4 wks notice, at this point i had not told her i was giving my notice, and she did not know i knew the locks had being changed. By changing the locks she has officially i would say evicted us from the shop, and at the same time broken the law by not giving us notice, and therefore broken her own lease, anyone got further thoughts on this, not sure what to do for the best

  11. hi yes i am in Scotland, the letter is a pre legal assessment, saying they are now deciding whether to transfer my account to their solicitors, account was opened around 2006, no i have not moved
  12. hi i am looking for a bit of advice, with a debt i was disputing, it was with a credit card with capitol one, debt is 2052.68, the account was defaulted back in 2013, and registered with lowell, i have not heard anything from them in years, i got a letter last week regarding this debt saying to pay it immediately, or a claim form issued by the court, and a decree registered against me, not sure what the right course to take with this, any advice would be greatly appreciated
  13. hi folks i have posted on here in the past with regards to a loan with ge money in 2008, i was looking at getting the mis-sold ppi paid back, i have now being told the whole loan has being missed, does anyone know anything about missed loans? was told it was missed due to the fact deposits were taken on the day with no mention of cooling periods, so was wondering is i should pursue a claim under section 75, or just the ppi, they have already got a file open on the ppi and need 2 proof of id, which is fine, case was originally started by the claim guys, but i informed them by call within the 14 days to instruct them to not to any further with the claim, and the have said the account is dormant ge money says its still open, and any claim refunded they will still have a claim, not sure whats the options here if anyone has any ideas i would greatly appreciate thank you
  14. their was no excess fees, or anything extra to pay, as i took out the extra cover insurance which protects me from it, i did however get refunded the full amount yesterday, but now i have a few £25 charges from unpaid d/d can they charge this amount? its even double the amount of the d/d itself grrrrr
  15. hi folks, need some advice on this one, recently i have returned from spain, while out there i don't know if i lost my wallet or if someone pickpocket it, was a strange moment when someone bumped into and my friend asking what was all that about. i have hired a car from the same company for the last 8 years 2 to 3 times a year, always taking out the full insurance, and have never had a problem before dealing with them. while car was parked someone hit it causing cosmetic damage to the bumper, left his details, but he was still there when i arrived. As i had the full insurance did not have much to worry about and i also had his details, returned on the 5th checked my account on the 9th to find this company has taken £500 out of it, with no explanations at all, or if someone has hired a car with my found wallet and cards, cards were cancelled, the only way to contact record car hire is by email w hich could take unto 30 days for a reply if i am lucky, as now reading the reviews it seems to be a common thing for this company to do to people, my other problem now though is my bank will not put this into despute even though i have explained everything to them, how it could take unto 30 days to reply, no contact number, only email contact, how my cards were lost, how i had full insurance, the reviews this company are now getting, and now they have put my account into arrears, returned direct debits, so will be facing more charges from bank and those with the D/D, but the bank says as i have dealings with this company i will have to wait for their response to my email, bearing in mind this can take 30 days, and if they reply back, explaining they should not have done this, as i had the full insurance, nothing in the terms of what it could be, i.e. if it was a traffic violation etc t hen those authorities would be in touch with me and not the hire company to take monies, i have had nothing from them as to why they have taken this money, and my bank not offering to help, other than giving me an increased overdraft until i hear from the hire company, anyone able to advice on this i would be greatly appreciate it thanks

  17. hi folks, have a problem with domestic and general, i purchased a new tv through ao.com, last year, checking my bank statements i have noticed a dd for about £9 going to d&g, i have phoned them to ask what this is for, and am told its for insurance cover for my new tv, when i informed them i never took this out, and that it was a new tv, that came with a warranty, why would i take out this cover, and also if anything else happened to it my household insurance would cover it, i did look at lg extra insurance which i thought about taking out when the warranty expires, and asked D&G how much this cover was, and it was a lot more that lg cover, lg, and i informed them of this, why would i take cover with them when the manufacturer is offering a better cover and cheaper than them, so told them to cancel it right away, and i would expect a refund of my money, that was a month ago, phoned today as no sign of any refund, and was informed it would have to go to their accounts dept, for them to decide if i will get a refund or not, and that i should be complaining to ao.com for setting this up, which i will do, but as i said to her its d&g taking out of my account, without any signed contract or any signed direct debit form, and that i have not received any paperwork with the telly in regards to this, nor have i had anything from them through the post, where do i stand with this, i thought they would need a signed d&d form or contract by myself, before they could take anything from my account, but seems not, and where i would stand if they refuse to refund my money any input would be greatly appreciated
  18. hi folks, the problem i have with trying to do it myself is i have no idea where to start with this, the first sale took place in the uk, but the rest of their high pressured sales took place in Spain, i have read several stories where the claims have being successful but are all done through some company or lawyers, on reading some of the blogs like mind timeshare, or TCA they do advise also to avoid paying any fees upfront, and that if using a no win no fee, then it should be that, and if any fees are asked to walk away from them, if it was a ppi claim in the uk i would have an idea how to deal with this and have in the past, but as it involves spain, just don't have a clue where to start with all of this, and advice/help would be appreciated, if i can do it myself, where to start or try and use a no win no fee company, i am not fussed if i find a company that does this, then takes a fee at the end, we have kind of written this off, but if their was a way to get our investment back due to the points where it has being missed then all the better
