  1. So I found this website in June when Shabby National took around £600.00 over a period of 4 months in bank charges from me! I sent the SAR and advised at the bottom of the letter that I would be moving on the 8th July 2006 and to send any correspondance to that address. I received an acknowledgement. I also sent a letter on the 5th June requesting a refund of the £600.00 and reminding them of my SAR to be sent to my new address. I received a response offering a partial refund....I obviously worte back refusing! About a week later I checked my online banking and they had refunded the £600, I was never advised that this action was to happen. After the 40 days had passed I call Abbey to ask where my statements were and they advised me that they had sent them to my old address and they were returned. I told the advisor that I had written TWICE to advise of my new address. He apologised and said he would re request them. I asked if the ones that had already been sent back to just be posted to me again. He said no we have to re request them. That was in August. October 12 comes and still nothing! I call again and am advised that there are no notes to say I have called and they have to be re requested! Today....still nothing! I have called them today and the man who answered say oh! it can take 12 weeks for them to arrive, I tell him that Abbey are in breach of the DPA and he says they can take 12 weeks! On the 5th November i was charged £350.00 in penalties, today I have been charged £325.00 in penalties! £675.00 in a month! The thing is, the reason I have been charged today is because I had to withdraw £350.00 from my bank last month to stop the bank taking it as it was set aside for my rent! Same thing has happened this month, so now I am £350 short on my £1045.00 a month rent!! So if I wasn't charged last month I wouldn't have been charged this month! (hope that makes sense). I am going out of my mind with worry as my landlord has agreed for me to pay £700 on friday and the balance the week after, but that will then take my nexts weeks pay and I need that to pay my direct debits, they will obviously bounce and put me in this situation next month too!. I cannot see anyway out if this mess, I am an absloute wreck and my next step is to take SHABBY to court, HOWEVER, without the much needed bank statements how the hell am I going to calculate the total claim? PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.......I CANNOT SEE MYSELF GETTING OUT OF THIS HOLE. Susan
  2. No, just as a goodwill gesture, it had no breakdown to show how they came to that figure!
  3. Hi All, I sent a letter to Barclaycard requesting a refund of all penalty charges to my account in the last 6 years and received a letter offering me £291, which I rejected. I wrote back saying as they had not given me a full breakdown of the charges to my account I could not see if this was a fair settlement. I requested a copy of all charges under the DPA and they refused saying they are on a microfiche system. I wrote back saying this is covered and they have now sent me a printout of my statements going back to May 2004. Does anyone know how I can get copies of my charges going back to 2000? Please help! Susan
