Hi everyone out there has anyone had trouble with exploding IKEA OVENS mine was a FRAMTID fan oven. I opened the oven door, the element exploded and the fan sent flying bits of hot metal at me it singed my hair my eyebrows and my eye lashes. They gave me a new oven and booked and a day to fit it the electricians arrived only to tell me that they would not fit it he said it needed to have a 13 amp 3 pin plug on it fitted behind the the oven ??? I have NEVER in 22 year of having a an oven in a under counter oven housing had it plugged into a plug socket i have it directly connected to a purpose built cooker socket so that i can safely turn it off when not in use or at night. Baring in mind I had my last cooker for the 22 years without any problem it was still working when it was removed. I had a new one because I was having the kitchen decorated. I had a problem with this IKEA one that is only 6 months old.I am now about to contact my trading standards office. any help would be appreciated Krystyna

I ordered an electrical item as a gift to be delivered to a friend directly to their address the company actually delivered it to me and not my friend who lives miles away they have told me to post it on this will cost me with insurance nigh on £90 I have already paid them to deliver it.Where do I stand regarding this. Thanks for the help Tifo I have the statements with the amounts on. I did it a few months ago and told Choice that I disputed the amount over and over again. They ignored all the letters and now they want the penalties. Any more help will be appreciated Thanks again Krystyna

Hi Anyone out there help required please Can anyone out there help me I have had two letters from Red Castle Recoveries Ltd asking for payments.I have already paid what I owed and now they want the penalty charges that were added on, can they do this or does it work like the banks? I have no intention of paying them £120 in penalty charges when the debt was £56.Even if I had it I would not pay it. They are trying to intimidate me by sending me letters that say Red Castle 1, WARRENT OF EXECUTION 2,CHARGING ORDER 3,ATTACHMENT OF EARNINGS Will they have to go to court to get this, can I go or send a letter to the court with mitigating circumstances? before the send balliffs to my house? I really would appreciate some help as I dont know how to deal with this.I have never dealt with bailliffs before. Thanks Krystyna

genlovesben quote I used my Conusmer action group email address and they must have taken notice cos i got a letter on Thursday saying they were looking into it. Last time it took 3 weeks before they even responded. I too have has great results when using my consumer action group email address it makes them sit up and take notice. Thanks for the info Spicescull and Bean and everyone else I did as you both said I emailed them and low and behold the settlement amount appeared in my account just after 6pm.I can now donate to this site. Hopefully it will go on and on helping other people get back what is rightfully theirs DON'T give up.THEY WILL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK stick with it, never back down. Hi Everyone I think I am at the last hurdle now after bouncing the ball back and forth with Martineau Johnson. I may finally be on my way to getting my money back. A figure has been settled on with no confidentiality. The buggers are telling me it will take 10 days for the money to be transferred to my account, yet they take ours at the stroke of midnight and often before the due date. I queried this with them and all I got is it’s not the same ha ha! I don’t think so they are once stalling dragging their feet. I wonder if they have X amount of Lloyds money in their account making interest for them. I will keep everyone up to date. Regards Krystyna

I checked your thread out, I got almost the same letter mine said CLAM too so much for individual letters Ha Ha. They offered me the full amount but I will not accept their conditions. Why should I ? They made my life hell. Krystyna

Hi Everyone I received my 2 letters one setting out their defence again the other saying I can have MY money back. he usual stipulations confidentiality account review closure etc sign it and send it back to us AS IF!!!!!!

Hi they did that with me to.I went online and took screen prints of they ones that were missing added them to the staments that they sent to me. They missed out the statements with the most charges on Krystyna
