  2. Hi Can someone please tell me if I paid a secured loan/mortgage off early & had to pay a fee for doing so, would this be classed as a penalty charge? Any info would be appreciated. Miss P
  3. In one of my many letters I had told the solicitor that I would only accept a bank credit paid directly into my account. However, I think others have received payment by cheque.
  4. Success!! Lloyds TSB credited my account today with the full amount, interest & charges. Couldn't have done it without this fab website & all the support from everyone. Thanks a million. Will be now chasing charges for closed Credit Card accounts! Have tried to send a msg to Bankfodder so it can now be Litigation Concluded but am unable to do so.
  5. Lloyds solicitor wrote to me on 06 April 06 offering to settle my request in full on the understanding that I had an account review. I signed to say I agreed to this & contacted my Branch Manager. He had not got a clue why I was calling him as he thought everything to do with Customers claiming charges back was being dealt withat a central department. Explained what the letter from the solicitor said, so we then discussed my account & he said he would contact the solicitor to advise the content of the conversation. The solicitor confirmed that he had called her &
  6. When is it going to be broadcasted?
  7. Me personally, I have sent them a reply to advise that I will accept the offer- full court costs, charges for last 6 years + interest- but will not adhere to any of the conditions they set out. They have submitted the defence because they have to by 17.04.06 but hope that they settle before I have to attend court but will appear if I have to.
  8. Same with me. 1 letter arrives offering to settle- with conditions- & also letter containing the defence.
  9. As a tennant you would be amazed @ the things you can do to the property without the owners consent. I know someone who because she didn't like her landlord having a key & therefore being able to access the flat whenever they chose (not that they ever did!), she changed the locks. The landlord witheld some of the initial deposit to change the locks again when the tennant vacated, tennant took owner to the small claims court & judge ruled in the tennants favour & awarded expenses. My advice to you would be to file in the small claims court. If the owner turned up, its
  10. Thanks to both of you. Good job I wasn't upto much this weekend anyway! Will be worth it in the end.
  11. Thanks for that but my PC won't allow me to enter any data onto it. Isn't there a very simple formulae to work it out?
  12. Today I like so many others have received correspondence from Lloyds TSB's solicitor offering payment in full with conditions attached. Before I tell them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine, can someone please explain how I work out the interest involved. When filling the money claim action in I ticked that I was claiming intesest but never entered an amount. Now they are offering to pay & interest is not mentioned. Perhaps I am just being blond but every thread & FAQ's, explaining the calculation process, that I use just ends up being more than my initial claim.
  13. Your claim was sent the same day as mine. They acknowledged mine on the 22nd. Will be watching your claim to see how you are going. Good luck. Miss P
  14. I entered my claim on the 8th march. The court sent it to Lloyds on the 15th & they acknowledged my claim on the 22nd march. Sounds as if they have missed your claim so fingers crossed for you that they don't acknowledge it & you get your money back asap. Good luck.
  15. Lloyds TSB have acknowledged my claim today (22.03.06).
