  4. Ho hum got an email from TM this afternoon Dear Ms M, I am sorry that we have not yet responded to your correspondence. I am afraid I can find no record of having received that of 24 July, but both the later items were received here on 15 and 21 August respectively. I am sure you are aware of the media comment surrounding this issue and, as you can imagine, we are trying to cope with the increased volumes of complaints surrounding it. Our regulator, the FSA allows us 10 working days from receipt to respond to complaints and I will do my utmost to ensure that we do in your case. Please bear with us meantime. 5. And it just goes to show they do read their emails!! They said they have accepted it due to his 'loyalty' to cahoot!
  6. Didnt start a thread but after much thought my other half has decided to settle with Cahoot for 685 or the 801 they owe him. He sent the prelim, got a reply, sent the lba, didnt get a response. He sent one more reminder in and offered to settle for 85% of the total if they responded within 48 hours. Low and behold he called me at the office and said guess who has emailed accepting it? I know we should have gone for the full amount but between my claim and his its a lot of timeline following ect; we are moving house (and with the way a few of the claims are going with cahoot with bailiffs ect;) just seemed the right move for us.. So we are 685 better off as of last night! NO WAY I AM settling with RBOS tho!! So not a COMPLETE win but a win in our eyes none the less...
  7. Yes, the formulas are already in there, you just overtype all the data that is already in there
  8. I got the letter saying return my card and chequebook, called the telford office and said my balance would clear within a few days.. musta been my sexy accent because the operater (who I think was an 18 year old boy) said, oh thats ok just bin that letter then... Weird..
  9. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/25716-rejection-settlement-offer.html just tweak it saying you will pursue the rest in court. just resend what you sent again with a copy of the proof of delivery.
  10. I dont see why not? If you had a lawyer it would be ok for them to contact Cobetts, you are basically just representing yourself. Not too sure tho, try googling it.
  11. Should be fine I think? I always use my parents address as I tend to move around a lot for work ect; looks better on my credit report and they just forward me everything
  12. All charges Over your O/D-which will appear like this 17DEC2005 A/C XXXXX 28.00 Card Misuse-35.00 unpaid items-38.00 I think anything that appears on your statement as CHG except any royalties fees-
  13. No, in all fairness IF it ever gets to small claims it will show the judge you have been more than fair. The timetables are just a guide, not binding.
  14. Gargoil, take a look at my thread and try giving the lady who called me a ring!! You never know!!!

    MissM VS Cap 1

yippeeee! Just got a call from the lovely laura garrett at Exec. Offices for Capital 1 Her:I understand you are unhappy with your bank charges? Me: Yes of course, they are unlawful according to the OFT Her: Well I have gone through all of your statements since your account opened and can find £80 in charges. What I would like to do is refund them today by credit to your account. Me: Oh that's great thank you. Her: Let me just double check I havent already credited them when I left a message for you on Friday... no I didn't but have done so now.. You will see them on your next statement which is due to go out later this week. Is this ok for you? Me: Yes that is fine thank you WOOOOO HOO. I know its not a lot but its my first one!! Yay!! PS her number is 0115 843 2455 if anyone wants to give it a try. She was very nice and didnt argue at all. I figure since I still have an account with them they always know they can make money off me somehow.. and they must have a limit they can refund right away!! Oh well,, hopes RBOS decides to cough it up sooner rather than later.. that one is 855 quid!!
