They have charged me an extra £200 since sept, So I will send another LBA with the new figure. I have also heard that banks will soon start crediting the difference between what the OFT has said is areasonable charge and what is being asked for? Is this a reality or just rumour at the moment?

yes they have resonded to all lettters bar the LBA

I am a bit worried, my last letter to Barclays was in sept last year which was a letter before action, but I forgot about it due to family problems that have dragged on. Question is have I left it too late to issue court proceedings i.e is there a rule that you can't claim after 6 months? Regards Avon

From the date the money was taken from my account? Money had been taken from my account in dribs and drabs over different months in different years. How do I work that out? Will I have to work out each £30 out of £600 and calculate interest up until date of claim.

I know the calc is 8% per year, do I calculate from the moment I sent my very first letter to Barclays asking for money back to the date I do my online claim? Basically how do I calculate the 8% Regards Avon

I am just about to write by LBA. I need clarification on: Do you only claim for 6 years? when does that 6 years run from? Does it run from the first letter you sent? If you do claim for more than 6 years ( I did I claimed back to 1998) will you lose your case? Do I include all interest charges in my LBA? My original letter only calimed for unauthorised charges which were not interest? If the 6 year rule is valid, do I write back with my LBA with an amended figure taking into account my mistakes of claiming over 6 years and forgetting the interest charges? thank you so much. Yours confused. Kerr Avon.

I posted my Letter asking for my charges to be credited to my account, end of june asking for £600 of penalty charges and got a letter back from Mr White @ barclays saying he would give me a goodwill payment of £280, I got this letter on July 6th. One question before I send my LBA, I forgot to include the interest? is this hard to calculate? should I include this in my LBA and say I forgot to include it in my original letter. Or should I just forget about it, its probabaly not very much anyway. Also my charges go back to march 1998? Are charges before the 6 years not allowable to be claimed for? Mr white does not mention it in his letter. as I am always overdrawn towards the end of the month will this be a problem? Many thanks
