Hi I really think I have messed up. I have gone throught all the procedures and on Monday found out that Abbey were late sending their questionarre back to the court. On Tuesday I called Abbey and asked what was going on as this situation has dragged on since July. They send their questionaair in on Weds morning. I have now been told by the court its has been passed to the judge. I am scared of the court and think I have mad a mistake by calling abbey. Also on top of this Abbey paid 400 pounds into my account as a gwg in september by left the balance 9 pounds short so the charges have started agin......but it only covered the charges i had accured over my over draft so i couldnt touch it anyway. When i pointed this out. they basically said tough thats all I was getting. please help me sort out this very shabby mess i have got myself into.

hi its me again i send my questioarre back on the day i recived it. abbey ha to send theirs back by 18th, which the court have just told me they haven't. but the woman at the court also said that they will give them a few more days to send their questionarre and then i will hear from the court in a few weeks. Why oh why is it taking soooooooooo long and also about a month a go abbey paid 460 pounds into my account this took me to just 9 pounds over my over draft. I called them and said i dont want this money paid into abbey if they want me to accept the money then give me a cheque for the ammount and we will sort out how i weill pay off my account with them. they said the only way i was gettingmy money back was by them payin the money into my abbey account which covered my arrears. When i pointed out they were using the money they owed me to pay them selves they said this is how it was settled. Of course this is all on a phone conversation and not by letter. have i messed up and actully that was my payment from abbey....... please give me some advice it seems to be taking ages, i sent my first letter in july!!!!!!

Hi I have recived the questionarre this morning in the post. do i have to pay the court fees again of £80 or do i just fill out this questionarre and send it back. Also is there any help with what i should put in the questionairre. thanks so much for you help x

hi can anyone help me because i am now at the giving up stage. Abbey have filed a defence againt my claim, and i have no idea what i should do next. they have paid 465 pounds into my account which i said i did not want as i wanted the full amount, but they paid it in anyway. Now what do i do ....... please help

Thanks Nik I will do that then and just go straight to court procceding. Thanks again for all the help i am reciving its great to speak to people who r going throught the same thing. I will deffently be donating to the site when i get my fortune from shabby abbey..........lol

Hi Karne thanks for your reply. I recived a letter from abbey today telling me thats i am currently at step two of their complaint procedure, and they will get back to me in eight weeks, if i am still not happy i will be passed on to the financial ombudsman. Do i just ignore this and carry on straight to the court, or do i wait for them to get back to me........i am very confused i hate banks and think we should just keep our money under the bed like my granma did....

Hi i am a few days away from filing my clain with the court abbey have sent me the same rubbish everyone else seems to recieve. What i want to know is.... how many people have ended up in court with abbey, and has anyone actuaaly managed to get their charges back. I am feeling a bit scared about the court i need some positive feedback please xx:confused:

Hi i need advice. In Jan 1999 i took out a £2000 business loan with hsbc. Firstly i was rejected but the bank manager said there and then her would over ride it and i got the money. My monthly payments were £55. Some time later i was made awear that i was only touching the intrest and not the loan. So i closed the business account tranfured my loan to a standard account and payed more per month this went on for about two years. Then i borrowed a further 500 pounds. Keep paying my loan. Then i fell into difficulty and the loan was passed on to a debt agency who for the past two years i have payed £40 pounds a month to. Last month i realised that it is now seven years since itook out the loan and apparently the ammount is still £2000. I have been into the bank and asked for a history of the loan apparently they dont have it because it is over six years and they were only able to give me some documents that dated from dec 2003 to july 2004. when they transfured my account to the detters. The total they wanted reclaiming was £2500..... what has happened to all the money i have paid over the past seven years and what do i do now ....... please help

Hi I really need help. I have sent my first letter to abbey, 13 days ago i have had no reply but i did send it through the post. So do i resend my first letter or do i proceed to the second letter. Also i have only gone back two years with the charges as i was confused with the ten pound statment letter.... i realise i am being a wuss and need to fight my corner better. So far my abby account is £200 over the overdraft all charges and i have only been able to open a very basic account at Barclays for my student loan to be paid in. Abbey knew about my student loan and were looking forward to it being paid in my account. Where do i go from here i a want my money back please help me.... saralou x

Hi I really need help. I have sent my first letter to abbey with as many charges as i could prove. Theyhave not replyed to me yet. My account wa in such a state due to charges that i have had to go to barclays to get a card cash account, thats is all i was aloude because abbey froze my account due to the fact i would not pay off the charges. What do i do now...... please help. sara lou
