  1. Regarding the signing of the comparison, the bloke repeatedly lied about about what was being signed and assured my wife repeatedly that she wasnt signing up to switch, only to say that he had done his job correctly. With hindsight she shouldnt have signed but when you go shopping in one of the country;s leading supermarkets you dont expect to become the victim of a confidence trick by one of their employees. That is why I want to find the contact details of someone of higher authority in the organisation. Maybe they are not aware of these practices being carried out in their name and if it saves someone else being trapped then that can only be a good thing.
  2. About weeks 3 ago my partners shopping in Sainsburys and was approached by this a rep from Sainsburys Energy asking her if she woild like to switch gas supply to them then gave her some calculations on what she would save. He then asked if she would like to sign up, she said no not until she had spoken to me. He said that ok someone will ring you within 7 days and asked her to sign that he had given her the relevant info, she again reiterated that she wasnt prepared to sign a contract with them again he said her signature was only for his boss to see that he had carried out the proper procedure in showing her the savings that could be made, he also asked for bank details which she refused to give. Heard nothing for 3 weeks until today when she got a letter from Npower saying sorry you are leaving us. I have today called npower but had to take out a new contract as the existing one was cancelled. I also called sainbury energy and they have started a complaints procedure. They also informed me that not only was my gas to be switched to them them the electricity was to follow a week later. Sainsbury energy called it an erroneous switch, I think fraudulent would be nearer the mark.My question now is does anyone have any contact details of someon high up at sainsbury stores as this took place on there premises and I dont want it sweeping under the carpet and other people falling for this sharp practice
  3. Cut up the cheque and send it back to them with a rejection letter. As regards the closed acc charges if these have increased and you have not yet done MCOL,then you could send them another LBA with a new schedule of charges. This should make everything straight forward at the MCOL stage
  4. Here you go just click on the link and adapt to your own situation. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/25716-rejecting-offers.html

  7. I wouldnt worry about it.When I claimed against Yorkshire Bank it turned out that my claim was really against Clydesdale bank the parent company who dealt with the legal side of it.Didnt make anydifference they still paid up with a clydesdale cheque:p The main thing was YB is in england and Clydesdale is in Scotland so was able to keep the claim in the English system
  8. Hi folks Not sure if I am in the correct forum here, but after giving Yorkshire bank and Clydesdale a seeing to (one of the most obstructive you will ever come across) I am now considering going after Style financial one RBOS products I believe.I have read what few threads there are on this outfit and they are listed in scotland.Does anyone have an England address for them? I read that judjement by default was given against them in Mansfield county court but still they did not pay.Dont know the outcome as the thread has not been updated recently.Any help most welcome. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/royal-bank-scotland/50782-taking-claim-english-scottish.html?highlight=style+financial

  10. yes send the LBA and a schedule of charges (dont include the 8% interest yet)
  11. I am respectfully requesting that my claim be allocated to the small claims track. This issue is not a complicated one; it is an issue of fact and not of law. The issue is only whether the money levied by the Defendant in respect of its customer’s contractual breaches exceed their actual costs incurred. I am happy to pay their actual costs and I am surprised the Defendant did not counterclaim for these, because I would have paid them without argument. Also say you expect the case to last no longer than 1 hour
  12. Most put none for witnesses.Yes you can indicate when your holidays are
  13. You can also put in one claim for both accounts, just make sure you always quote both acc Nos on any letters you write.
  14. You could try ringing them and remind them that time is nearly up. here are a couple of Nos 0141 242 4142 0141 242 4138
  15. Yes just send the SAR and then send the preliminary letter when you have worked out what they owe you, dont combine both. Trust us this system works
  16. Yes you can. When you go over they add a £20 charge on your next months statement, So claim em all back
  17. Cheque banked, survey done, donation to be made as soon as cheque cleared.Oh nearly forgot holiday to Goa booked:D
  18. Usually things start to move when something happens.in my case when I completed the AQ i got an offer for about 50%,then when I was transfered to Mercantile court with a date for hearing the offer went up to 75%.When I turned this down and said I would see them in court on feb 7th they came back with full offer. so i would expect you to hear something when you move on to the next stage. But never forget who you are dealing with and be prepared to go to the last minute
  19. Thanks Caro as I said before its been a long hard road, but got there in the end.To think when I started I dont think YB had paid a penny to anyone. How times change. Donation will be sent when cheque clears. Thanks again to everyone for all the support and help given over last 5 or 6 momths:p
