  1. Hi cat if your claiming against your HSBC account the best idea is to start up a thread in that forum then you'll be able to read loads of threads re them and get some answers to your questions. I opened a parachute account in another bank but my circumstances are different then yours. perhaps someone with experience of student overdrafts can help you out in the HSBC forum or Mods/SH ? good luck Freebird
  2. Fox Mulder, I know you will be starting threads of your own in various bank forums, but go over to Lloyds and have a read of mine.....before I openend my parachute account, my bank was eating up my benefits including my daughter's DLA...... I'll follow you claims in your forums too. Freebird
  3. here, here Martin! Martyjon, your imput in the Lloyds forum would be most welcome and you could take a look at some of our claims. Just out of interest Are you claiming, yourself BTW ? If so, start up your thread in the Lloyds forum so we can follow your claim. cheers.
  4. try these numbers.. 0121 633 5411 0121 633 5411 or 0121 600 3623 ask them their fax number when you get the right one. sorry to give you three but all these are numbers that other posters have used too. I have SCM's fax number but not the right fax for the SAR...I'll try and find though and post it tomorrow.
  5. well done Barracad, for someone who's never done any recording before you did brilliant. It takes a bit to get used to mic levels etc. but you gave it a go and it sounded great. I'm going to give it a go, my ex and I used to be in a band together and he still has our 8 track in his , so when I decide what I'd like to cover I'll use some of our own music ( a mellow track, as we were rockers ! ) as a backing track and I'll ask you what you think.
  6. poor you, I've had my fair share of letters going missing too. Can you fax over the SAR too and foloow it up with a phone call. I know I'm telling everyone to fax right now but it's a sure way of them receiveing things quicker ! good luck
  7. OMG Philip get on their case asap.....have a look at my thread, I went about faxing them in the last couple of weeks , following it up with phone calls a couple of times a week....... fax them asap and tell them what you are prepared to accept on your terms. good luck mate
  8. Oh Ally, well done girl..congrats, you deserve it. xx
  9. right I've got a bone to pick with you two.. I left you two anoraks last night swooning over some guys with little balls, and then I turned my back... you had a 5 page orgy...with some of the forums flueseys.....a rather attractive guy with a beard...loads of Chinese food and what's with the cheescake..you know I'm mad on cheesecake....................skivin from work.............and no alcohol in sight.......................did you still have one eye on the cricket?........not that I understand but it didn't sound too good on the news........ Well I'm off to do some house work.....you have fun but I'd better get an invite next time or I'm telling on you all for fraternising in forum time..... xx
  10. hey Pete high on sucsess right now, and it feels so good. You know, beat the bank, kids get decent pressies for crimbo, settle some debt ! and holiday plans, you know the things that most people take for granted . Had a "tipple" last Friday to celebrate....... and cried when I saw my 13 yr. old's face when I said she could have "any" clothes she wanted for Christmas........that's reality isn't it Pete. Any way you guys get back to your cricket, I won't make a fool of myself by joining in.......don't know a wicket from a stump..lol.... have fun xx
  11. aw bless the pair of you, I'm observing in ignorance as I don't know the first thing about it, but I just love your banter......... have fun x
  12. Chilli, start up a thread for yourself in the HSBC forum and you'll also see lots of useful threads and posts to give you an idea of time lines etc. If you have your own thread then others can follow your claim and give you some support good luck Freebird
  13. here's a link to the first direct forum, start up a thread for yourself and that way we can follow your claim and support you when and if good luck freebird http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/first-direct/
  14. don't sweat they told me the same and it was in the account the following day, well done mate x
  15. welcome MIJ firstly don't worry, you'll get lots of support on here. The first thing you should do is to read over this http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ you'll find lost of answers to your questions here. And secondly go in to the section for your bank and start a thread with your own title...for instance MIJ v ( your banks name) and then we can follow your claim and support you through it. Read some of the threads in your banks section to get an idea of the time line for the claims and you'll see where everyone is up to. Good luck Freebird ( I'm in the Lloyds section )
  16. adamski. send them a letter and FAX it too, copy in the court. Stating the amount you are happy to settle for ( full amount claimed) with no conditions. We know that if it went to court you MAY get additional costs and interest, but if you're prepared to accept full unconditional settlement, then YOU tell them that ASAP. That's showing YOU negotiating an out of court settlement ! good luck
  17. Derek/KFDH Lloyds seem to be settling quite a few claims of late and I think the main thing is to keep the pressure on. I now belive that they have so many claims going on that they are sending out letters in bundles like a production line, all saying the same thing,,,And I also think that they are saying the same things "off Pat" over the telephone.... So I would just keep faxing and phoning.......I know that once the recomendation was not to phone but I think that it keeps the pressure on ! All this is my own personal feelings of course. good luck
  18. steefi it IS a big acheivement, well done love, we're taking on the "fat cats" and winning !! For some of us it's months of worrying and getting our heads around legal stuff and courts which can be quite daunting but luckilly with the help and support of this site ( founders, admin mods and helpers ) we've done it. Give yourself a big pat on the back and well done to CAG too for guiding us all through it eh ! xx
  19. Hya, smellie, I've gone pink officially............and lending an ear to posters....it's the least I can do as I got so much support on here and I know that if I'm stuck with any other probs there's always someone on here who will help out. So if I can give a little support back here and there, I'd love to encourage everyone to reclaim what's rightfully there's.. A few words of encouragement go a long way when your rock bottom or stressed out with all the legalities of "courts" etc. good luck luv x
  20. Steffi, well done love.....send a letter back to them, FAX it too and then phone them. Accept their full offer of settlement without the conditions. It won't delay the payment too long and it's worth it just to win the claim on your terms. When I started FAXING, things seemed to happen quicker for me. So FAX today and phone them tomorrow. good luck love
  21. Hi Moos, send a fax of the letter too, as we know that SCM don't get their letters straight away, that way you can follow it up with a phone call the same day or day after..........I'm sending you a PM so watch out for it.... here's something interesting, don't know if it could help you in any way... Farepak in administration: What to do? (Merged Thread) - MoneySavingExpert.com Forums Re: Fairpack !!!! Did you pay for any of it on a credit card? If so 'hoorah!' If your hamper/vouchers cost over £100 and you paid all or even part of this on a credit card then your credit card company is equally liable under the law with Farepak, and you should make a claim against it for your money. This is a legal protection that you have and should mean you get all your money back. For full details on Section 75 please see the Consumer Rights Article.
  22. Hairy, as we can not speak directly with Lloyds, then our only point of contact has to be with SCM and they HAVE to negotiate settlement with us ! Keep faxing and phoning....they tend to mislay or should I say don't receive letters very quickly so faxing is your best bet, good luck luv
  23. Hi Molly, sorry you're having so much stress with them. I think I'm right in saying that if the court had issued a stay you would have been informed in writing by them ! Our time lines were the same and as you know I've had my settlement.....I'd be faxing and phoning our Mr.Thomas tomorrow and telling him that you are informing the court that you have been trying to negotioate settlement as Lloyds requested the month of October to do and now it's mid November etc..regardless of you having a court date they should have responded to you now ! Get faxing him and phoning him tomorrow hun x
  24. Hya gang, sorry if you've already done it, but it's a good idea to start your own threads in the section for your bank, that way we can all follow your claims and support you if you need it !! Freebird x
