  1. alfwithhair, Thanks for quick reply. You've confirmed my thoughts that as long as I'm paying towards the debt, I don't see no reason that it would stay on past the 6 years. I imagine they would only try to re-register it if I stopped payments after the 6 years, which aren't my intentions. Even then like you said, it's probably rare they would do that? Cheers again, Hip.
  2. Hi, Just need some friendly advice with regards to CCJ's and the 6 year rule. I currently have 2 CCJ's from 2009. One went through to a charging order, but I'm making monthly payments to them both through Payplan. My query is will the CCJ's clear from my credit file 6 years from the date of judgement (if unsettled), or will they stay on file while I continue making payments? Many Thanks! Hip.
  3. Acerbic, Thanks for the reply. I've read what you've stated, but I have also read that if the debt was covered by the CCA, then interest is not chargeable. I just need someone to confirm whether or not this is the case. Thanks again.
  4. Hi, Just after some friendly advice. Back in feb '09 I defaulted on a loan for approx 10k. Along with a number of other accounts, I set up a plan with Payplan. This was all ok with monthly payments set up, but then Link financial went for a CCJ. Following the CCJ, a charging order was placed on my property which I accepted in front of a judge etc. Since then I've found that interest has been added monthly to the account of approx' £125. I've read on the insolvency helpline website, and also in these forums that interest cannot be charged if the debt was covered by the CCA? If this is so, how would I go about stopping the interest being charged and has anyone else been in the same situation? (Also, I'm assuming at the moment that the loan was under the CCA but will have to confirm this). Many thanks in advance!
