started sep 2004 and closed dec 2008

i am trying to reclaim 10k in fees from a GE money mortgage, however i have been told by the company acting on my behalf that GE Money were not under FOS Jurisdiction at the time and i cannot reclaim.Seems blunt to me, any ideas? Surely there is a claim to be made for excessive charges?

when i was in arrears i was charged £40 a month plus interest plus £20 a letter every month to tell me of this fact.

thanks, i know the money will be used to pay off the debt, but its in my name only(the debt) so surely only my share of the equity can be used to pay. surely my wifes equity is untouchable as it is her beneficial intrest?

Here it is....... i joinly own my home with my wife, i have an unsecured loan with DIRECT LINE which has resulted in a ccj then a CHARGING ORDER I want to sell my house to emigrate but with the CO does it mean that only my share of the equity can be used to pay off the CO and if there is not enough equity to fulfill the CO from my share what then happens????????? can i be stopped from selling even if it is for the correct market value. i am not using underhand tactics such as selling to a friend for peanuts!

After months of hassle with [problem] and them saying this claim is going to be defended blah blah blah, lo and behold recieve a letter today offering full refund and going back beyond 6 years.£1666.00 many thanks to all who responded to my posts. redshoes65

hi. i have recieved a similar letter to the "hull strike off "from cardiff county court regarding my claim for return of bank charges stating; "1. directions will be given in this case by judgexxxxxxxxxx on 14/08/2007. if you object to the order you must make an application to have it set aside, varied etc. 2. the parties may appear in person or make written representations as to how the case should proceed provided a copy of the representations is sent to the court and the other side at least 7 working days prior to the hearing." i am at a loss as to what i do next, any help is appreciated. kind regards redshoes65
