  5. I thought so. Many thanks Bookworm
  6. A friend of mine has just received a letter back from her bank saying 'no, no money from us' following her LBA. She still has 7 days left to run until the 14 days is up - should she wait til the end of that 14 days, or start her court proceedings now? TIA! Suzie x
  7. Thanks guys. Welshcakes, I'll be sure to consult the step-by-step every step of the way! I made a silly mistake last time, hence starting again, and don't want to waste any more time! And Dar£n, I've just gone through all the old statements, and I've picked up every charge (I've some in every type you mentioned), which come to a lovely total of £745. I have put them all into the schedule of charges spreadsheet, and I have put the 'paid referral' ones down as 'UNAUTH O/D FEE' - do you think this is ok? As far as I can see, that's what it is. And I guess that to send this off with my prelim letter, I should take out the 8% column? And one more thing - when do I date the schedule of charges from? From the date I sent the SAR? From today? Thank you!
  8. Hi everyone! Ok, I did start the ball rolling a few months ago, but have had a few things going on at home, so it went on the back burner. I have incurred more charges since then, so I am going to start a fresh. I got my new set of copy statements back today, so am going to go through them at work tonight, and also go through exactly what I need to do again, to refresh my memory. Wish me luck!!
  9. Can anyone help me? Please!
  10. DOH!! Just been re-reading the step-by-step instructions, and it says to enclose a schedule of charges. I didn't do this - do I need to start again? and is there a template for this? What should it look like? Feck - have I ballsed it up already?
  11. That's shocking Jenny! I'm so glad I don't run my main account with them now.
  12. I'm back again!! Once again, everything went on the back burner, but I finally kicked myself into touch and sent the prelim letter on Nov 30th. I got the standard reply back yesterday, and then a letter today offering me £365 as full and final settlement They're having a laugh aren't they? So, now to work out my next move.....
  13. Ok, I did start the ball rolling a few months ago, but have had a few things going on at home, so it went on the back burner. I have incurred more charges since then, so I am going to start a fresh. The Data Protection Act request will go out tomorrow, and if anything like last time, I'll probably get the statements back on the 40th day I'm going to check the copy statements I have, though I think we may have used some of them as scrap for the printer but if not, I won't need to send them out.
  14. I recently had a letter from a collections agency threatening court action if I don't pay £320 now. This is for £79 of arrears due to a company that I have finance with for a home study course. I had meant to cancel a DD for the same amount, but cancelled this one by mistake, then I sent them a cheque for the outstanding last month, explaining what had happened. Now it seems that they had never received this. Is there any way I can stop this from going any further, bearing in mind that I don't have £320 to give them and am very Thanks in advance, Suzie
