  3. Just received my Allocation Questionnaire this morning. I'm unsure of what to put in Section G (other Information), if anything. Has anyone got some boilerplate text that can be modified?
  4. LloydsTSB have lodged a defence with the court. What happens now? Do I wait for the court to contact me or should i contact them? I've looked in FAQ but can't find the answer, though I'm sure I've seen it before.
  5. Deemacperth, sorry, but why should I have to fork out for a passport just so that I can open a bank account. I don't want nor need a passport, I don't go abroad, it's full of foriegners. ;-) What's SIA ? Incidently GDBA is not a government agency. It is a charity that receives zilch from the government. Whilst I agree with the anti-money laundering legislation I believe that Barclays policy disenfranchises a sizable sector of society. I did also offer my works ID and as I work for a local council and have been vetted via the Criminal Records Bureua I would have thought that that was pr
  6. Bookworm, Sorry if I came across as being angry at you. This was not my intention and I do apologise if I offended you. The bank in question is Barclays. Maxie, Yes, they have to establish identity, but I don't believe that there is anything laid down as to what form this must be in. As for money laundering, I don't think that the DLA I that was going to put into the account would qualify. Yes, they can set their own rules, but they can't use rules that exclude Disabled people. If they do so then they are contravening the Disability Discrimination Act. I wonder how many blind people h
  7. Bookworm, The letter mentions nothing about a passport being CURRENT. I took with me the photo ID Card issued by my employer, who is a neighbouring local council. I also had with me the photo ID Card issued by Guide Dogs for the Blind Association as well as one other photo ID. I had all other identifiers asked for such as utility bills, Council Tax bill, etc. So what is the problem? They know that I am resident t the address they sent the letter to. They know that my name is on all of the documents I can produce and that the out of date passport bears my picture so I can't see what thei
  8. I applied to open a Barclays account online. got a letter this morning asking me to go to a branch with proof of identity to confirm my address and identity. the only documents that Barclays will accept as proof of identity are: *A full Passport or National Identity card issued by a European Community Country or *A UK Photocard Driving Licence or a UK full PaperDriving Licence or *A UK Armed Forces Identity Card. The problem is: 1. My passport expired in 1989 and as I don't go abroad I don't need a new one. 2. I'm Registered Blind and, strangely, the authorities won't let me ha
  9. I took my N1 claim form in person to Bradford county Court on 11th april. I've just got my copy of the claim back saying that it was issued on 25th, deemed to be served on 27th. It's only taken the incompetent b******s 14 days to serve the claim. Anyway claim 6BD02919 now served for £250 + fees +interest.
  10. I lodged my case with Bradford couunty Court last Tuesday 11/4/06 and got a receipt for my £30 fee. I've heard nothing since. I don't even have a case number yet. When should I hear from the court? Should they send me a copy of whatever they have sent to LloydsTSB? Regards, Swarfmaker
  11. I've had difficulty logging on since the forum format changed, but to bring you up to date:- I've calculated my losses using the online banking facility as £240 and have issued my letter asking for same. Got the standard reply saying sod off. Issued a LBA and again got the standard reply. So its off to court we go. I think I might just wander down to the Court on Monday morning and lodge the claim in person.
  12. Just got this standard email reply. Thank you for the e-mail. I acknowledge your request for copies of statements of your account since 1st January 2000. Under the circumstances, your e-mail has been passed on to the Manager of the Complaints Unit within Service Recovery and I have asked that he notes your requests and responds to you at the earliest opportunity. Regards Keith Boden Lloyds TSB - Service Recovery Birmingham Just got to wait now.
  13. Got my statement in today and have been hit with £60 charges to be applied next month. That's the last straw. I've just emailed of my request under the DPA for a breakdown of all the charges over the last 6 years. I only wish I could go back further, as I've been with them for about 20 years. Anyway, I've given them 21 days to respond to my request. Wish me luck. I think I'll go and open an account with another bank, just to be on the safe side.
