  1. Ahhh thank you so much. Any help/ideas are gratefully recieved. We are still on good terms with E-on at the moment, because we have explained that we have been putting money aside.. Just not as much as they would like. We haven't made any payments yet, we just seem to be circling eachother at the moment!! I was suprised that you say the 1 year rule applies to businesses as I cannot find this anywhere, all seems to refer to domestic, but if that is the case it would be really helplful. I am currently wading through a load of paperwork they have just sent us regarding current rates etc.... I nee
  2. We sorted it all out with BG.... It's E-on we have the problem with... wanting to charge us a higher tariff.
  3. Thank you all for your support so far... Well. We have managed to get E-on to agree that we only pay for the amount of time we have actually been in the shop.... However, they are now saying that we have to pay on a higher rate tariff!! which will now make the bill £6000. Still more than what we have put aside for what we believe we should pay. We have a breakdown of the bills and there were regular meter readings. But, my argument is, that had we known E-on were supplying us we would not have signed up for the higher tariff, so why should we now? They cannot tell us who signed up for E-on it
  4. I'm sorry, but I can't answer that, but I'm sure there will be someone on here who may be able to advise you. I'm no expert I'm afraid... I'm learning and reading as much as I can due to receiving a £12,753 bill myself and came across the 1 year rule... Good luck.
  5. As a result of the ‘super-complaint’ submitted by energywatch in April 2005 to the energy regulator, Ofgem, energy companies have been told that, as of July 2006, they should no longer bill for any energy used by consumers more than two years previously where the company themselves has failed to provide a bill. As of July 2007, energy companies will be expected not to bill for any amount that dates back longer than a year.
  6. We have received a bill for £12,753 for electricity supplied to a property we own that has been changed into a Sunbed shop... Various people have leased the property and quite frankly we had a nightmare with different leaseholders coming and going, even 1 of them dying on us, another disappearing etc. From the start of us having the shop we were billed by BG for the electricity against a meter that didn't exist. That all eventually got sorted out and we were re-imbursed the money we paid. We then decided to tell the leaseholders they were responsible for their own Electric bills, in Jan 07 o
  7. Congratulations!!!! Lovely feeling isn't it?
  8. Take a look at the court bundle in templates. Give a list of all docs you should have available
  9. Hoogie. Thanks for that.....And congratulations! I'm well prepared to go all the way! I was kind of disappointed that RBS settled before we got to the court date. I thought I might have a bit of a fight with YB cos of the account closure but you have inspired me! Thank you! Polly. Well done! When I was looking through your threads it all seemed doomed:( It just goes to show if we keep going we will get there! I was looking through my daughters account with her last night... over £400 charges in 3 months!!! Halifax here we come:)
  10. Suppose:-| Just looked at your threads cos you joined same time as me. Have you had any success?
  11. I'm not sure what you have already taken, but it's the court bundle in the templates library. There is a list of what you need to take. If you have already done that you just need to get yourself well versed on why you think the charges are unfair, just read read read! Any questions you are asking yourself will probably be answered in the FAQ's... But hopefully you'll get a settlement before 26th.
  12. Have you got your court bundle ready yet? Probably won't need it but..... best be ready.
  13. Right! Just won 3k against RBS:) Starting with Yorkshire bank now. Today sent off letter req statements. Think might have a problem cos I closed the account in 2003 due to them charging me too much in bank charges:evil: Still I'm prepared to give it a go! Are they tough cookies?
