  1. Hi Dx Yes sorry if this sounds confusing, the dealer wants me to pay for gear box assessment and ultimately repairs to the gear box. I think the trader has the better deal, from the stand point of it being a newer car and worth more financially, the car I traded in has had a brand new suspension set up to replace the tired worn parts, this cost £1500, if for any reason I thought my traded in car had a gear box issue I certainly wouldn't have paid for all the suspension work etc Iam happy to stay with the car I have from the trader also realising the level of work needed to bring her back to her former glory. Im just not sure how to word the response back to the dealer......... im guessing he's thinking mis representation of goods to him from me?
  2. 26th of July Dealer took my car in part exchange, a purchase figure was given by the trader this was agreed, I received £1400 difference back from the trader, and an invoice for this date was furnished agreeing the sale. Trader took my car for a test drive agreed the car drove very nicely and was happy to proceed with the deal. I picked up our new to us car, and when were were at home we discovered that the car has had a remap, contact ted the trader and told him I wasn't happy, the following day I had the vehicle assessed by Audi Main Dealer, and a thorough investigation carried out, £5000 pounds worth of faults with the car which were not apparent on the test drive, some of these concerns could be argued to age and Mileage etc, however there was a significant amount of software issues Knee jerk response I requested back my traded in car which was a younger model, because of my shock and horror at the level of concerns I lied and told the trader the car had a gear box issue, to my knowledge it didn't have as it drives beautifully, but now the dealer is saying it has? This has been a silly mistake on my part and I acknowledge this
